I saw today that their was a forum new ways to get more AP but it did not mention ways to get more. So heres some ways....
But before i start, I think getting AP by commenting on profiles is bad. Anyone can go to random profiles and spam all over the place. If they do not receive points for commenting on profiles they will be discouraged to spam.
Also before i start.... I HATE THE 30 SECOND RULE..... IF you don't know the 30 second rules its when you post a comment or post and you have to wait 30 seconds before you can comment post again. For me this the most annoying thing on AG. Their should be a minimum character limit, like 30 or 50. not 30 seconds. if i post on one thread and i want to post on another thread like 2 seconds later...I HAVE TO WAIT 30 SECONDS.

1. Everytime spam is seen and a user reports it, and a moderator or someone checks it, and they approve it is spam, the user automatically gets 1 AP.
2. I also think merits deserve 100 AP because i work like 30 minutes on my merits.
3. Donating to AG or buying stuff from the AG store, depending on how much you buy or donate, you get AP.
4. This may sound stupid.... EVERY 50 POSTS YOU GET ON YOUR THREAD, YOU OBTAIN 10 AP.
5. When you find a problem in the website, and you report and it gets fixed, you get 50 AP.
6. (I think this is my best suggestion) Their should be AP CHALLENGES. Such as- If you get 100 AP in 2 hours you get 150 AP. If you post 100 comments over 100 characters in 2 hours, you get 250 AP. If you answer 50 threads in the tavern in 1 hour, you get 100 AP.
WAYS LIKE THESE CAN REALLY GET PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE ON AG MORE OFTEN.

Well, then it must be important stuff you have said and you should be happy you have helped the game creator.

It reminds me of a suggestion to get a little code if you bought something and then you received and armatar or something.

So if you make a spam thread you get ap. Most mods simply lock the threads instead of going through them to delete the majority of the posts because it takes too long and they have other stuff to do.

So... If you talk a lot to your friends, after a while you have 50 comments and on top of that 150 ap for simply talking.
If you post 100 comments over 100 characters in 2 hours, you get 250 AP.
Spam. A lot of it... Most people that care to make long posts/comments are either in the middle of discussions (which means posts, not comments) or are hoping for a merit (comments). The last part is probably doing it for the ap...

Since it is actually frowned upon to answer all the freaking threads somewhere and (often) necroing threads, this is just a bad idea. Besides most of the threads in the tavern is not worth replying to either.

What is it was not your fault? Some people have a habit of making all threads die because they are being stupid and offtopic and spamming so even the best of threads can die a horrible death. Threads that has been answered gets locked too, and mods sometimes lock threads they have made because people otherwise will spam the thread with "Nice guide" and "cool".

Double duh.
Spamming results in getting your posts deleted. Breaking the rules results in posts getting deleted (at least the ones that break the rules). If you do wither enough you get banned.
In general I think most of those ideas are just going to make people greedy and spamming more, and the ones that does not care might find the amount of spam and ap hype too much and leave.

Agreed. Afterall, most of commenting on peoples' walls are just chatting.

So does everyone else, but without that, the request rate will be amazingly high, making the server slower, but this is all just for faster AP gain? Disagree.

I would approve of that, just make the limit lower by a smidgen. Then, when people really, spam, it will be easier to notice, by just randomly pressing buttons to get past the limit, then more people will flag comments (hopefully), and those comments will get deleted.
@ 1: I like the idea, as it will encourage flagging to help clean the site up a bit, but how will that work?
@ 2: 100AP sounds like a lot, and there are people that have lotsa merits for their work. We hardly ever get merits for reviews anyways, soo.....
@ 3: That's just encouraging people to buy the staffs' stuff, which is what they didn't want to have happen in the first place...
@ 4: Can't happen. Bad things can go wrong with those threads.

@ 1: many controversial issues about that sort of thing. Sometimes the thread is locked, and people who posted there weren't the cause for it, so they got their AP taken for nothing. Then there's the whole delete-the-thread thing, that just makes everyone mad when a pretty popular thread gets deleted for who knows what. That riles many people up.

i agree your way are really good but to add an other to the lose points i would say when all you say in a game commets is like ok or good. or like copy and past the last pearsons comment

This is a motive to spam, YOU create spam and YOU report it and YOU earn points. Also many times many users would report the same things who gets the points the first to report or all of them?

100 it's too much, it would promote writing reviews, but the purpose of writing them is not earning points. It's helping the other players and the game developer, if somebody is interested in helping them he does not need points to do it.

I don't think that there is any person who donates money to earn AP, so it's a quite pointless idea.

Bad threads usually have more posts, so it's not a good idea. Everybody can say what's his favorite food, but not all are interested in answering philosophical questions.

Again the same question arises. Who get's the points the first to report it or all the users who reported it?

It would make many users more Ap greedy, many would do the rating trick just to earn the bonus 150 points.

You can write hundreds of words and still not say anything.

1) There are not enough active threads. 2) Many would write short and useless comments just to answer the thread and get 100 AP.

I think most new members are just trying to get as much AP as they can in as little time as possible i thought the reason for AP was to see how experienced a member was and not just one big competition.

It's used to determine how active you are in the community.
Most people who are active in the forums end up being princes and kings. In fact, I think everyone in the top 50 have at least 50-100 posts.

I never understood why people cared about getting AP for commenting, especially since AP and ranks DO NOT MATTER.

Forums are a bit like that show Whose Line is it Anyway?; Everything's made up and the points DON'T MATTER.
And because of that... I don't see a reason to implement most of these. Maybe the one where you get AP for shopping, but... no.
Off the record, if all you care about it AP then you are on the wrong forums/site. Go. NOW! Or else I will burn your house to the ground with my dragon powers.
