Name your team, where they might finish in the standing, talk about team or league wide stories. Wether you want intelligent discussion or merely to talk trash, if it's about the NHL. Do it here
I am a HUGE Canucks fan. My heart predicts a Stanley Cup but my mind says they lose in the Western Conference Finals. Best goaltender in the league, Selke trophy nominee, best player from the KHL last year, Defenseman with the same points as Jay Bouwmeester for less $, One of the deeper defences in the NHL, Underpayed forwards.
A recipef or success. I predict Ovechkin for the most points and goals. San Jose for the Presiden't Trophy but not to get past the Western Conference Final. Detroit will be poor, Anaheim will do surprisingly well...
My team is the Anaheim Ducks, and they are the better Southern California NHL team. Yes, Pronger left, but the team added a lot of talent in the offseason. I think the team should be a 6 or 7 seed for the playoffs. 5 if Teemu stays healthy.

Any team with a top line of Getzlaf, Perry, and Bobby Ryan will do well. And when you've got a guy like teemu selanne on your SECOND line.
Plus Neidermayer's still kicking around.
You lost Rob Neidermayer though didn't you? Or was he not as big a part of the team as he used to be?
I like the LA KIngs to surprise in the west because they've got a good young goalie, Lecavlier is a star, and Dustin Brown is one of the most underappreciated forwards in the league (so glad I got him as a sleeper in my hockey pool)
What about the East? Anyone here like the Eastern Conference?
And what do you guys think of the Pheonix Coyotes deboccle? I'm assuming you get enough hockey info to know all about it. Is it tough getting your hockey fix in the U.S?
And do you ever seen the NHL overtaking the NBA? Since their seasons are so close and the game's are so similair they are parctically directly competing sports leagues.
Those are pretty much all of the major ones. They destroy the opposition when they are all on the ice at once, as illustrated in the Cup.

I was holding my breath the entire thing. Gretsky quit for no reason :P
They won the first game yesterday. Unless I've been somewhere and the season DIDN'T start yesterday OO.OO
I am so p.o'd at the Canucks start to the season. 0-2 The season is lost =P
Luongo hasn't been a star, PK is pretty bad.
I am surprised at the play of the Islanders and Avalanche.
Craig Anderson might actually be able to put together a whole season of good play in Denver...
And Tavares is lookin great already.

He quit cause they weren't paying him =P
I don't see how they can justify keeping the team there. Why is anyone going to go see a team that is practically guaranteed to move away in the next 2 years?

Actually, they have a huge fanbase in Arizona. It's the location that is pissy. They moved from central Phoenix to the east side in Glendale where no one wants to go. Real shithole there.

Uuuh, no. Glendale was threatening to cut off his payment if they wouldn't start paying back the billion they spent on the building that Glendale financed.
He got a few million when he quit, and Glendale is still a bit pissed.

Pheonix is really doing well when it comes to attendance to start the season!
Amazing...although the tickets are SO cheap =P
Costs 25 bucks to go to a game in Glendal and get a free t-shirt, costs $110 to go to a game in Vancouver xD And those aren't good seats =P
Quebec City is under talks with NHL to bring the Nordiques back. Apparently the only requirement is a new arena which could be announced in the next couple of weeks
NEW CANADIAN TEAM WOOOOO!
Lot's of surprises with good starts.
Kovalchuk keeping Atlanta afloat. Ovenchkin dominating all, on pace for a career high season AGAIN. I can't remember the others atm but I known there's a lot =P
