I have questioned life many a time. I've even thought about suicide for several years of my short life. I've thought that it was very, very dear to me until recently. What could have happened recently to make me consider suicide again? Life got tough, which was about 6 or 10 months ago. Now when they say, "When the going gets tough, the tough get's going", I thought it could either be the tough running away, or the tough fighting it full throttle. So then I thought, "How would I get going?" as my father and mother always described me as tough.
Then I figured, suicide.
Now then, to further my point of suicide, if life is so sad, and happy parts are so few and far between, is life seriously worth it?
Now you could argue that there's a white-robed fairy in the sky that grants wishes, or an orange-robed fat man in the sky that you will become apart of, or any deity that you wish to beleive, but the fact is, that isn't there, and there is nothing after death. Even if yous trongly beleive in religion for some whatever reason, think as if there wasn't. You dont' have to beleive it, but hypothetically think that you'll just rot in the ground and there is no afterlife. If that's true, would you want to be alive in this cruel, harsh, and overly insensitive world where the only way we can communicate with each other in true honesty, is in the most dishonest ways? Through a screen?
I'm not looking for people saying "Well if you hate life so much just go kill yoruself!" or "Only god can help you now, child," or even "Life is worth it, don't kill yourself!".
I am looking for an ANSWER. So don't waste my time with bad answers that a school counselor could give me. Don't.
Life is was you make it to. If you see no sense in living, there most likely will be none for you. Oh wait, is that a bad answer....

Heh, ya know what. I thought the same too, at one point. But then I thought, "Who would give a fuck if I died?" and after some thought, I came to the conclusion that, "I have to many people who will be sad if I died." and, my personality refuses to let me be selfish. I want to die, but I won't, It would make my parents, my friends, and my girlfriend sad.

Yeah I've thought about it not really becasue Im depressed just becasue I saw no point in living so to speak... I'm not looking forward to the "American Dream" kinda thing with the nice family and wife, good house, car, job etc. I just can't wait to see what the future is like and if that means be alive (which unfortuneatly it does) then I'll carry on. The next few decades are going to be so interesting and I wouldn't want to miss it. The technology that is planned to come out as early as 2020 looks so amazing... yes it is a sad reason but it is easy and achievable.
I would recommend you seek professional help. I don't biebe anyone on AG is a licensed pychiatrist, so there for, anything they say has the potential to worsen the situation.
I'm not going to give my opinion on the matter (other than that suicide wouldn't be worth it in the end, trust me) but I will say that there are a lot of things to live for in life. You just have to find them.

If you kids cannot understand that this is a question about humanity, than it is you who should be shutting up. If I can ponder a life's question and you can just say "well go kill yourself", then you should not be on a public forum.
However I do see where you get this from. But again, this isn't about me, it's about a question. I simply used my life as an example.
It's always worth living, you may not have fun, but you have only one life. It's stupid wasting it. The few great moments you will live are enough. Just do the things you like, help somebody and have fun once in awhile and you will see that life isn't that bad. Always have hope and think that you could have even worst problems.

all your sorrows/problems/troubles will be "transmitted" to all your friends,cousins,relatives and parents,you wanna know what negatives impacts will take your close friends down when you die? when my friend died,i failed my exams,and worse,i ended up seeing the school phsycologist 4 times a week,he said i have too much anger in me,thats why he gave me a freaking doll to kick at,to release my anger,and guess why i was so angry my friend killed himself,he was my best friend and by killing himself,passed on all the crap onto me,now i visit the school phsycologist 2 times a week,and i still burst when he reminds me of him,and it will most likely haunt me for the rest of my life,which is why i know what i want to be when i grow up.
i learnt this lesson the hard way:your destiny is your choice,all but one destiny has a 2nd exit,all but death,your destiny might change,but if you have an open mind,you will be able to face it ,i hope you dont.
Alright, I let this thread live for a day. It's time for it to be locked. Why would you blow everyone off after you ask them for help? If you're looking for the meaning of life, the answer is 42. If you aren't happy with the answer, then move on.
