Okay, I am looking into getting a Mac Notebook, but I don't really know much about mac products, so I thought I should ask here, on what are some good, affordable mac notebooks.
I am really only getting it so I can browse the internet, and write stories, so I am not really looking for one of those 900 dollar ones haha, I just need one that is good, reliable, and affordable on a 100-400$ budget.
Get a PC. Unless you plan on doing the kind of stuff Klaus mentioned, a Mac is nothing more than a rip-off.
A Mac is like a sexy woman who is only good in bed... really good in bed -- in bed being a metaphor for video editing. She is very expensive and costs you a lot of money. She's not very good at anything else, but whatever it is she's doing, she always looks damn good doing it!
A PC is like an average looking chick, vista is like an ugly chick. They don't cost too much, but they are high maintenance. Despite her average/ugly looks and her high maintenance, she knows how to cook, clean, fix cars, and she is a total gaming nerd. Hell yeah!
Unless you plan on editing a lot of videos, designing stuff, or unless you plan on having sex with your computer; there is no reason to choose a Mac over a PC.
... ... ... I shall neither confirm nor deny the fact that I smexy up my computers.
But a mac... still seems, to me at least, like something I would want. Because, who knows, I might end up doing that kinda stuff.
Eh, I don't really care anymore... I am just gonna buy a good refurb. Adios amigos.

(PS: I contacted sony, and they said that my warranty isn't up yet, so I am gonna send it back, and get it fixed as well. But hey! Now I got TWO Laptops... One for home, and one for bringing with me (With the PC one for home, and the Mac for traveling...) 'cause I ain't taking a 1000 dollar sony laptop outside anymore, I will just take my 299$ refurb outside with me instead.)
After she took the thing apart, and looked at the hardware, she said the Motherboard fried or something, and that there was something wrong with it's hard drive. Any Ideas on how to fix this? She said she would do it, but I ain't got the scratch (500 dollars) to pay her to fix it.
Unless she has been smoking a crack pipe it won't cost you $500. She is ripping you off. A motherboard will cost you between $42-$400. You just need one that will fit in your laptop, and that's not $500 guaranteed. Because PC laptops are made to easily be swapped around.
Anyways, that is a refurb of a computer from like 15 years ago and you are wasting your money. You won't be video editing half as well with that thing as with your PC. Me and my friend have been talking about this the entire time, and his words not mine you are being a huge dumbass if you buy a mac. BTW he runs a computer repair shop and is the best with computers I have ever seen.
eh, I just got it because I don't want to get my Sony messed up again. I will use the sony mostly. But if I travel or something, I am taking the mac with me instead. Not because I intend to do that stuff, but because I don't want the sony one to get messed up. So lets just end this thread please.

You obviously aren't listening. Cause if you were you'd know that if you want to buy a new one just get a PC anyways so not waste money... if you are traveling all you will get is trouble from that crapmac.
