What do you people think? For me, i think Jack Thompson is really just in it for attention and money. P.S: Video games don't cause violence

Be a blind, unobservant bi*ch looking for money because she got 2nd degree burns. She won several million -.-

He's an idiot. If I could get an Atari 2600 I would slap him myself.

*Waits for lawsuit*

I'm also going to start selling GTA4 to my neighborhoods children.

*must not.... go on Facebook.... and join anti-Jack Thompson groups... struggling*

I've never heard of him before but I've looked up some stuff and he is obviously a... trails off. Like the article said he isn't going to get anywhere Facebook can't do much and he isn't gonna track down the people who did it :O

That article was quite biased, it seemed to be very much against Thompson. I however, am on his side. Offering $50 for a video of someone punching Thompson in the face is inciting "imminent lawless action", and I'm sure many of the things said in the groups would be considered "fighting words". Both of which are restricted under the first amendment.

Also, Thompson may actually have a case against Facebook. By allowing the groups to exist, it could be argued that Facebook is aiding and abetting.

Its a joke.

And what!? What the people said in the groups is against the first amendment?

And I shall sue Obama because because some kid called another kid fat in his country!
Facebook has nothing to do with it.

What if they said $10,000 to gun him down? It's the same concept, and even though a punch in the face won't kill him, it could possibly do severe damage.

Some of the things, I imagine

The difference is, Obama can't go out and stop every single crime that happens. Facebook can easily monitor the groups created, and delete ones that break rules and laws.

Jack Thompson is an a**hole. That's pretty much all I got to say about the guy.

why doesn't he just sue USA's Department of Defense for creating the internet.

facebook is a means of communication; sue the person.

Is it? The joke threat of mild violence is as serious as paying someone to kill him?

If you wanted to go through all the facebook groups that are discriminatory/ encourage violence against someone and all that jazz you would have your work cut out for you.
