I gtg, but I'll be back soon so anyways I'm going to make this quick.
As many have probably heard the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" Policy that states if you are gay or lesbian you can't be open about it or you won't be allowed in the military. I think the policy was pretty stupid... what is the opinion of AG? Do you agree with repealing it? I'll post more info later, I gtg
You can be the army if your gay It just means, dont tell anyone your gay, and dont ask anyone if their gay. Or else, you will probably get your ass kicked there
It's stupid to kick people out of the military simply for being gay or lesbian, however, it probably wouldn't be wise to admit those things in the first place. Not only will people kick your ass, like Drace said, but you'll have a hard time fitting in. People won't want to sleep in the same room, they'll shun you, stuff like that.
That's pretty stupid, but it might have some good affects. You won't get beat up if you don't tell them. Although, I don't recommend being quiet about your beliefs. If you are gay, you don't need to be ashamed about it.
Yes. The reasons given for this policy's existence are shameful. The whole ''unit cohesion'' argument is pathetic. Rather than highlighting any problems with gays in the military, it merely shows the flaws within American society, or at least American military training, that it engenders fear and hatred to a degree that it would prevent teamwork.
Does it all really matter whether your gay or straight in the military? I mean, you dont go around telling people your straight, or gay. And why the hell would a gay guy join the army? It doesnt even make sense....
