As it says, I'll go first: Back to the Storyline please, it was annoying to find a new land. Arrow Towers back, getting the towers back can be really good to defend yourself. Buildable buildings during fights - Building a second tower that shoots where you want it to, maybe automatic Archers. Different types of soldiers - if you are bringing back Elves, Orcs and Humans try to bring Assassins, Wizards, Dryads, Wolf-Riders, Paladins and the like back, while some others from Epic War 3 could be used too, the Black Knight, for example.
hmmm... my only idea is to try and merge all 3 games - the turret obviously from 1 and 2, the battle system of 3 for spawn rate and unit limit, the multiple elemental arrows of different elements from 1 alone, and 2's upgrade system. Bonus units would include the titans from 3, but moar powerful.
Anyone EVER considered different play styles for different situations? Because you seem to be focusing on ALL fights here, look: If you're at the first level, the now prosperous kingdoms back into ruin, you must slowly upgrade with a Guard Tower, as well as the shield, automatic turret upgrades from EW1 (later in the game), this could carry on for a while, until you stabilise, and maybe even go back to it, let's say you're now a well-armed well-trained militia group, heading to the Elven Fortress... it's in chaos, so if you decide to be the Elves defending or help defend them as Humans, you'll have 2 different gameplay styles: Elven: Training the men by themselves. Human: Having a small steady income of soldiers ready to aid you, with a limit.
Both will have the arrow tower, and whose to say that's what it has to be? Maybe you have a mix of Elven Dryads helping you defend, or Paladins on your Elven frontline... consider it.
And for the Centaurs, Dwarves etc, why not make those achievements by doing certain things? Such as completing a map with all 3 Races, thus different gameplay, as well as each 'stage': Stable Human Culture = Achievement Stable Elven Culture = Achievement Stable Orc Culture = Achievement Defeated the last Boss = Achievement
And there could be more, such as quelling off-missions like rebellions, while your main mission is to sort out the Orcs, and not to mention, in EW2 you had to grind to get maximum exp, but in this case it's much easier.
And also, in some cases, you may be having to slowly upgrade, or possibly a built Castle, not all the way, but about halfway, which means you'd have to adapt to different situations, u have good barracks, bad archery, good castle walls, maximum tower and bad Wizard Academy, see? You'd be in a different situation altogether, and you may not even need the Barracks, maybe the Wizard Academy, so it's also different tactics.
Think about this, Like it? [ ] Don't like it? [ ]
+ = Yes - = No
Good luck, that was alot O.o

P.S Some of these upgrades from EW1 could also be a new building thing, such as the Barracks, instead it'll be a shield, or the automatic Turret.
Thanks, and you too, Maps only by certain races is a must, and the attack / defense bonuses could be very good, or restrictions: Map 4, Humans may not have rank 3 squires, rank 2 Knights, rank 1 Paladins, rank 2 Wizards or rank 2 Crossbowmen.
Something like that is good, because it makes things hard, anyway, instead of upgrading everything, and then just getting a couple of Paladins to go in and cream 'em.
