Campaign-wise, Halo 3 beats ODST.
Story-Wise, not sure.
Online, no differenec? Only ODST has Firefight.

Halo ODST is a vast improvement over Halo 3.

They are to diferent except in the game engine, odst its not aprequel or a sequel, it has diferent gameplay, same timeline but not campaign or story, and diferent character, also it feels like the previous halo 1 and feels like a total diferent game, thats my opinion.

I haven't even played it yet and I would say it's a slight bit better just cause your a trooper and not master chief.
