okay i've been wondering this i get that we should deport illegal people, but if they have a kid (i know they are an american citizen) why do they get to stay when there there parents are illegal then shouldnt they be illegal too because its like you get 50% illegal from both parents therefore shoudlnt you be 100% illegal like your parents too?
The economy is the reason that we haven't enforced border control. This isn't the first time it has happened either. They provide cheap labor and when the economy is going smoothly they provide thier employers a higher profit. But the instant recession hits Americans want the jobs that immigrants have taken, legal or illegal it doesn't really matter. If we enforced the border then our country would be about 10 million people smaller. We should send soldiers to enforce the border instead of using volunteers. If we have to build a wall so be it.

It does matter. The company my mom works for would make national headlines if they did a bust. It does matter because in the recession, employers want to make the same number they were before it hit, and with fewer people willing to pay them, they drop the legal workers for convicted felons and 90% illegal immigrants.
Well, in a way it would be better if they went together since the child can be taken care of. I knew a kid who's mom was deported to Mexico and he hasn't seen her for like ten years.
I say that if the parents are here illegally, the child is as well. People are sneaking across the border every day, taking advantage of the fairly lenient government regarding this issue. If the government would crack down on these cases, send the parents back to the country they came from (deciding whether to take the child with them, or leave them in the U.S.) illegal immigration would most likely drop significantly. I say decide whether to take or leave the child simply because it's the law, even though I disagree with it. If the illegal immigrants really cared about their child's future as they claim when facing deportation, they would most likely consider leaving the child in America whether it be with relatives or a foster family. Too many illegal immigrants use their child's future as a grounds to stay in America.
I, personally, don't think anyone should be deported.
Agreed. I am almost an anarchist. I believe a borderless world where everyone can be freeroaming is ideal

They drop the skilled workers who are ashamed to be doing the same job that an illegal immigrant would be doing if they weren't there. Then they can go back to a skilled labor job

If it's born here it's American. Those are your laws aren't they?
Wait...didn't your founders cross bodies of water on buoyant hunks of wood for refuge in a new world too?
I think we should deport them, people shouldn't take unfair advantages of laws. They know what's illegal, so they should have consequences for themselves and their children.
