Hello Armor Gamers!

Halloween is fast approaching, and it is time for a new armatar contest! You can submit your own original armatars to this thread following the theme of Halloween. If it meets our quality standards, I will add it to the 1AP armatar section for all members to use! You can reference previous contests for a better idea of what this is all about here.

There are some guidelines, and unless your entry follows these set of rules it will not be accepted.

GUIDELINES:
1. Must be appropriate. Cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Try to keep it clean!
2. The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension.
3. Must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to armatar size. A few suggestions about this:
- Sometimes simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So just keep in mind what the final size will be.
- If you are able to do vector, that can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this probably isn't a big issue.
4. Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other piece of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% original.
5. Must be Halloween themed.

Good luck! I look forward to seeing some creative new Halloween armatar ideas!

And I'd love to make one! But my hand is too unsteady for the normal paintbrush. There is no straight line tool at all?

Kind of. Hold shift while you drag, it'll make a line and when you let go, there will be a straight line of color where the line was.

Thank you, Pois0n. Now how do you do circles?

Well, you could use the pen tool, but that's kinda the hard way.

Um... Get the circle select tool, hold shift, and drag out a circle, then fill it in. When you're done, just click somewhere else on the screen to remove the select borders.

Wait, no, I made a fail. Holding shift don't make perfect circles :P

There should be a check box or something somewhere... Ah. When you select the tool, go down in the tool bar and check the Fixed: Aspect Ratio box. That should do it.

Okay, GIMP is too complicated for me. Any other free art programs you know about?

Vury useful.

I feel this post was lacking, somewhat...

Before I download this, I would like to make sure that it is simpler than GIMP, and that it is free of costs and viruses.

Easy, virus-free, and no cost. It's a pretty cool program.

Does it matter which site I download it from? It has a list of "Download Now" links.

Nope. I used... download.com, I think. Work's fine with any of em, though, I think.

Apparently it is not free. It says I must purchase it after 40 days!

Huh... Did you download the beta, or 3.3something? Cause latter is free.

No, it just said that I must buy it online after a 40-day trial. It didn't specify anything.

Click the link that says Paint.NET v3.36

It should be the whole program, not just a trial.

I love how some of last year's armatars are back.
