But really who knows, the world ends when you die. This whole 2012 is just something Hollywood is trying to make money off of.

Well what do you think?

Why would the world end in 2012?

The world has no reason to end in 2012.
This is neither a biblical nor a scientific date.

It's supposedly when the mayan calendar ends however in everything we've uncovered from their civilization there is nothing to even hint at an apocolypse they just happened to have that much of the calendar done when they were wiped out

# December 21 â" 11:11 UTC. Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.[5]
# December 21 â" The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, notably used by the pre-Columbian Maya civilization among others, completes a "great cycle" of thirteen b'ak'tuns (periods of 144,000 days each) since the mythical creation date of the calendar's current era.[6] On this day the Long Count date at creationâ"written 13.0.0.0.0 in modern notation, equivalent to August 11, 3114 BC in the proleptic Gregorian calendarâ"is repeated for the first time in a span of a little over 5,125 solar years.[7] The completion of this cycle and the repetition of the previous Creation's Long Count ending date have been central to the 2012 phenomenon. Academic researchers have not concluded that the ancient Maya themselves attached similar significance to this point in time.[8]

-Now im not saying anything will actually happen but maybe you should check your facts before making such a goofy claim.

Well from my personally view I think that after the Mayans made over what 2000+ years of a calendar during their civilization's time...I think they just got tired and said Fuk it...

Also the Hollywood thing seriously Hollywood makes a movie after every natural disaster ...WW1, WW2, Civil War, Vietnam, 9-11, and the daily disasters that take place in the hood...WTF!! honestly Hollywood doesn't come up with movies they just make sh!ty movies until a horrible event happens...now they upgraded to future events that aint gonna happen.

Check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7iDb1_GcZc . When you consider the facts, I'd say, a 20% chance of the world ending.

It's all fake. Believe me, people feared the year 2000, or "Y2K" as it was called, just as much as they fear 2012 now. It's all a load of conspiracy crap.
