As we all know most of the junk we buy in America was "made in China." Having this lowers the price of that product because in China they pay workers close to nothing. At the same time many of the American "low wage working class" or aka uneducated trash people, complain that they would have a job if more of our crap was made here. Truth is most peole don't care where the product was made, just how much does it cost. Also if our education system was not so poor and people would study for a test in college more than 10 minutes, then America would not have all these idiots walking around.
The Chinese products are cheaper, now many persons don't have much money, so they have to buy cheap Chinese products and not care about the quality. Also China makes too some quality products and there the costs are lower, so the companies to increase the margin profit move in China, India, Pakistan or even Turkey.
No duh. Workers in slightly more advanced countries would strike if they got incredibly low pay, but in developing countries such as China and India, workers would be happy to be paid even 4 dollars an hour for hard labour.
Our oh so poor education system has the highest amount of people with degrees in the world, 27%. However this generation is not at as high a rate in the past and if this trend continues the rate will decrease.
To be fair, when i got my degree I was drinking to blackout 4 nights a week. And I went to a university consistently ranked in the top 100 in most polls. The hardest part about getting a degree is paying for classes. Otherwise, college is a breeze.
[quote]buying US has more benefits than just better quality (not counting cars as better quality).
Actually cars made here are of better quality than most give credit for. Otherwise Honda, Toyota, Subaru and BMW wouldn't keep building manufacturing plants in the U.S. Where the lower quality cars are being made in Mexico and Korea. I think at last count Toyota had 11 car plants here and their quality is considered one of the best. I don't buy Chinese if I have a choice. Chinese made tools usually fail when I need them most negating the cost effectiveness factor very hard. I can't get a cell phone to last 6 frickin months. I wish I could find American made electronics. Aside from a Bose stereo (I hope they are still made here but mine is so old I can't vouch for the new stuff.) I don't own one good piece of electronic equipment. And a good portion of it is crap. But you get what you pay for.

THANKYOU.
I buy American as much as I can for two reasons.
One: better quality (don't rip on me, US made goods generally have better quality) Two: I support the US as much as I can. That includes supporting the US GDP.
In today's market, every country's economy is linked to every other. I don't think that only buying American made products will necesarily strengthen the US economy. Besides, a lot of products that are 'Made in China' are still made by companies based in the US, so most of the money still ends up in the US.
I remember in the 2nd grade maybe we were going to sing so patiotic song and we were all handed little plastic American flags, they said 'MADE IN CHINA' on them....crap Kirby got there 1st.

HAHAHA!
buying US, it's made in US, made by US Citizens (US residents, mostly Cit's), US Cit's get payed, US cit's have money to spend, US economy stronger.
I don't know the exact and proper way to explain it, but buying US-made products strengthens the US economy. Maybe not quite as much as before, but it at least does something good for the economy, unlike buying Chinese which does very very little if anything at all.
