As we all know most of the junk we buy in America was "made in China." Having this lowers the price of that product because in China they pay workers close to nothing. At the same time many of the American "low wage working class" or aka uneducated trash people, complain that they would have a job if more of our crap was made here. Truth is most peole don't care where the product was made, just how much does it cost. Also if our education system was not so poor and people would study for a test in college more than 10 minutes, then America would not have all these idiots walking around.

Well what do you think?

That still means cheaper consumer goods for me. So really it is worth it.

After a certain point, it is not worth it.

When there are no factory jobs for US'ans, it is definitely not worth it.
if we lower the unemployment rate before the optimal level, the US will not only be screwed in productivity, but it will also cause rapid inflation of currency.

Yes however the unemployment rate is higher than what it should be, and our economy would be expected to see benefit if some of those people get their jobs back.
if you want to read some real economy instead of searching " China effect america economy" on google, I recommend McConell and Brue's Economic text book. It is the Standard textbook for economy in Brown University

I own two economics books.
Yes, I searched google for that source but it's a very nice article if you read it and had plenty of sources to back up its' evidence. I read over everything I link to before I do so to make sure it's a decent source, and that was a very decent source.

I know that lower production cost is good for a company and economy, but when the majority of the factories leave the US within a decade, serious problems emerge.

One's college level, the other's the best my high school provides for its' economics classes.

Also, it's a very nice tactic in debating to fail in ridiculing your opponent. Nice job, feel big now?

No, it wasnt a ridicule, because you make very solid points. It is just I'm tired of people assuming they understand economics by just reading freakonmics. In my Econ class in college, over 40% of the students said that they assumed economy would be as freakonmics laid it out. and Being really tired and pissed off from finals, I assumed you were talking about freakonmics.

I make very solid points because they're stronger in debates than softer and opinionated points.

Also, I'm taking an AP Economics class right now in high school w/ basically a 101 college book, but I got interested a couple years ago when my brother was taking it, and read about half of his book.
I don't know why.

anyways, Chinese production is good and US production is good, but disastrous at both extremes.

What I am saying is I have been to china recently to visit family and for a sporting event. China's economic changes are not yet reflected fully in text books yet.

If China has changed as much as you've cracked it up to be, then this won't be that big of a question, will it?

I went there 4 years ago, and I was there last year. china's infrastructure increased 30-40%, and working conditions have also changed.

whether or not to buy goods made in china.

If their working conditions and income raise very much, then there won't be nearly as many companies operating in China.

you would have to remember that even if it did raise, it is still cheaper to Us'an labor, and owning a company means that you have to put profits above everything else. with that in mind, capitalist first world countries will continue to put companies in china, korea, taiwan, thailand, india, pakistan, it isnt just "China" it is countries whose labor is the cheapest.

Like the quote "remember your guns were made by the lowest bidder" (anonymous) who ever provides lower wages will be the new "China"

everyone has to be fully developed eventually, right?

I'm just caring until there are enough office jobs to satisfy the US population which cannot find jobs.

point taken.

But china isnt to blame because now india, is actually cheaper to produce in so new companies are being made in india, but moving an entire compan from china to india would not be monetarily feasible for companies which is why newer companies are being built in india, and other not as well developed countries. The blame cant be put onto china if that is taken into account.
