So... Can a Mod temp ban an Admin? Can an Admin lose their power by abusing it? What if all the mods went crazy and banned everyone?
Any mod or admin can lose their privileges by abusing them. Ultimately, Dan is in charge and can revoke any privileges in a moments notice. Mods and admins can ban other mods and admins, but only admins can do permanent bans. And if someone went crazy with the banhammer... well, we have our ways to fix it ;-)
I'm pretty sure they banned him a few times previously for small things, but then really started cracking down recently. First a 1 day ban for swearing, being rude, etc; a one week ban for continuing to swear, after that he got a 3 day for spamming (with a warning that one more offense would get him a permaban), and using Fst7 to circumvent the ban pushed him over the line.
Bingo. After about 5 or 6 different bans, with a final warning, a nice alternate account showed up flaming and cussing. So.. that's that.
No I think his account is just deleted, apart from his comments page, friends list and favourite games. They are hidden unless you know his number.
Right. No one will lose points if they commented on his profile.
That's new: I always thought mods could ban normal users completely. So if someone really bad does something, mods have to like fill out a form to get him banned?
fst6 permanently banned
Really? I must have missed a lot in the time I went inactive. Sorry to hear it...
one week ban for continuing to swear
Yeah, I guess fst6 was nice, but some people naturally swear in posts...

Oops, he should have seriously read that. The mods have have been pretty good at guessing his next move, if they found an alternate account (Then again, it wasn't a hard thing to find out.)

And I believe no one really knows that (Unless you went through all the comment numbers. 300,000 possibilities, anybody?)

We generally report to Carlie. It's pretty simple, though, just a small message about who and why. In the fictional world of AG, I guess it's equivalent to us mods being able to throw users in jail, but they have to go in front of the high court if they're gonna be exiled.

He actually linked me directly to his alt and spam/flame thread over AIM. Then proceeded to cuss at me. Fun times~
Hmmm, but that would still take a long time to find, unless you programed something to do it for you. 100,000 is still a lot to sift through...

Either very stupid, or there was some physiology behind it: He might have lured you to a fake account, and proceeded to making a secret one. And hopefully by not using his own address again.
Then proceeded to cuss at me.
Personal grudge, huh Zoph? Things got personal... Just kidding!
Fun times~
Sounds like Mods want to be flamed at once in a while, so things get a bit exciting. Most people shrink back from the idea when they hear 'moderator'.
Hey Zoph, I thought you were Strop for a moment when I saw the colors. And the green from before matched your personality better.

Strop would go "T T *slapface*" if I did it to him, and Zophia... would probably laugh... Conclusively it has to be said I am very bad at flaming.

If he was actually concerned about AG and being on AG would he not just have waited and then made a new account instead of flaming? This reminds me of secrets > <

What, like 'you gingerbread man!' or similar? Come on, the internet has probably become the learning enter for swearing. Although, there are consequences...

He might be impatient, but yeah, your logic does make sense. But look at what rank he was: I would have tried to hold that position for as long as possible, and frankly, nobody was (or is) that close to his AP amount, except firetail, who is now by 15,000 points (Almost double second place) supreme Leader Board king. Put together 3 and 4 place, and together they have just a bit more AP than he does.
But maybe he was simply bored, and downright finished with AG.

Something like that... I have the worst of tempers, really, but I usually just hit my wall for a while, instead of saying something I know I will regret moments later... And thankfully I have Strop to delete the evidence of my temper when it actually shows > >

I think it might be the case. Go with a crash and all.
... We have been offtopic for a while, have we not...?
That's it... there are warnings, which are just slaps on the wrist, no biggie, so long as you don't do it again. Continue, there are temporary bans that can go for 1 second to 7 days. they can go longer, just that there really isn't a need for it; if they continue to be naughty, they will just get another 7 day ban. Ultimately, if an admin gets word, they get squished and the server takes a sec to clean up the mess.
Freak, you seem to know a lot about this. More than I do. I wonder where the 1sec ban button is... Anyway, topic necroed, and question answered, thus thread locked.
