To kill time, most people don't go online simply because they can't stand society. We go online either 1) to do work 2) to kill time, or 3) lack of friends/distrust in society, etc.

I'm getting sick of America being portrayed as this god awful place to live. You'd think we all live on the side of the street or in shacks the way people talk. I'm convinced they try to make their country seem so bad so that they themselves can feel better. They'll feel like the shining star in a country full of low lives. When in fact, America is a far superior place to live as compared to most the world. Most of the people here work hard, and have a good life. The media needs to stop focusing so much on people who refuse to get jobs because of "the economy." Well, sorry to break it to them, but they're never going to get a job if they keep blaming the economy for their problems.

I blame it on the media only portraying the bad sides of America. Has no one else noticed that all of the illegals come here? Hmmm, now why would they do that?
I KNOW! Maybe because they have a hard time finding employment, housing or ways to make a successful like in their own country and therefore come to one with more opportunities, freedom, etc...
I'll give you the political and economical downsides, though.

Alaska sucks. Why? Because it's too dam close to Canada.
Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Main all border Canada as well.

I agree, a lot of southern California does suck, but the same cannot be said about northern California.
