japanese anime..dragonball dragonball z dragon ball gt dragonball z kai..(if you dont mind the adult males sounding like 5 yr old girls) and detective conan,inuyasha,paranoia agent(mini series),konjiki no gash bell,one piece,yu yu hakasho(idr how it spelled),high school of the dead (season 1 only so far),full metal brotherhood (redone version of full metal alchemist just closer to manga and not yet done)
'Good' anime has been a contradiction for the last 6 years.
Really? What about anime like Death Note, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Hetalia: Axis Powers, Ouran High School Host Club, Spice and Wolf and The World God Only Knows? They're recent anime and they all have large fandoms - almost all of them are quite short as well so the plot doesn't fatigue.

I can't even begin to describe how wrong you are with this statement. Just because you haven't personally seen anything good in the past 6 years doesn't mean it isn't there.
Also in response to Avorne's early post. I recently picked up the World God Only Knows and must say that I absolutely love it. I'm also noticing that people are mainly sticking within in the same genre. EXPAND YOUR TASTES PEOPLE.
These ones aren't some super popular animes (Atleast in my opinion), but here we go (I watched a few of them already):
Hoshi no Kaabii (Kirby of the Stars, Kirby: Right Back at Ya!) - A Children's anime, also dubbed in English and in other languages. Tells the tale of a video game character, a pink ball and "demon beast fighter/Star Warrior" (In the anime, atleast), Kirby.
Ouran High School Host Club (OHSHC)- A Romantic Comedy anime, the story tells about High Schoolers, which own a host club and so... That was pretty good and funny in my opinion, but of course other people might think it's bad or such. Depends on the opinion of the person(s/people).
And I'm currently watching (Not that super interesting, but still, sigh):
Ore no Imouto Ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga nai (My Little Sister Can't be this cute) - An anime about animes, games, errhm, eroge stuff (Not shown, only spoken about it, I think) and other stuff.
And to Japanese anime films, I recommend to watch Studio Ghibli's works and animations.
I'm going to post some more anime names later, if I'm going to find some more "good" animes for myself, as in, ones that I like.
Nothing else special to say about, then. Good animes might mean more popular and known ones, but I wanted to post these ones, since they're familiar with me. And so. Enjoy!
