In Bloons Tower Defense 4 (a.k.a. BTD4) you pretty much just pop balloons for the whole game so here's some tips about what to do to get to the big levels:

1. Towers
When you start a new game or you're just starting to actually play you place weak towers right? That's why at the beginning you start with the weak towers and buid up to the big ones because if you start out with the big tough towers you won't be able to keep up with the prices. So main thing start with the weak towers, build up to the big towers.

2.Tower placing
If you have the strategy or idea of what tours you're going to use then you have to think about where you're going to place them. The best place to put the towers is where the would pop the most balloons. Like a cannon in the corner of a turn will do alot of area damage. So main thing think about where you are going to place your towers based on whatb they do.

3.Upgrades
When you buy a tower they always have upgrades right? That's why you want to rank up to unlock the upgrades. But spend your money carefully. If you've unlocked a new ugrade for a tower try it out in sandbox mode ( if you've unlocked it) to strategize. So main thing use your upgrades wisely!

4.levels
As you progress through the game you get to higher levels so you want to buiild a strategy to get to the high levels.
What i'm saying is practice, practice, practice to build the best strategy possible. Once you've achieved that just try to keep going, and going, and going! So main thing build a strategy to get to the higher levels!

5. Mochi Upgrades
You probably already know that there are Mochi upgrades. My perspective of them: they ruin the fun. I don't use them because I like to play fair. I would only use them if you beat everysingle track on easy, medium, and hard. So main thing only use Mochi upgrades if you've COMPLETELY beaten the game.

Those are the tips that I've got so I hope they help with your gaming on BTD4!

True, however, the sun gods are more powerful than the wizards which puts things in balance. The sun gods are the best at doing raw damage, while the wizards are best used to slow enemies down. You have to strike a balance between then to keep everything under control.

Sun gods are more powerful then wizards, but not more tactical.
You can win infinite rounds with a lot of wizards just because the bloons will keep going back.

Everything is tactical in a different way, lol.

Also, even just having 5 or 6 sun gods to deter the BFBs and MOABs really helps with the efficiency of the wizards.

The only time a spikeapult is very useful imo is at the end of the long stretch on the first level. If you set him to target priority:last there he can single handedly get you through many of the early levels. I generally put one there, and one at the other end of the stretch (with priority on first) and it gets me through to the point where you start getting lead baloons and such. This lets me build a lot of monkey farms since it really doesnt cost much to get 2 spikeapults up.

But having 50 wizards work the same way.

Wait, are we talking the first level or the last level here?

I mean, getting to level 110+ on the first track on hard is relatively easy, once you know the strategy. Just beating the last level on hard difficulty is a pain and requires a completely different strategy.

In any case, I am having trouble beating the last level on hard. Any tips for that?

Trouble beating it by losing all 100 lives?
Or not being able to beat it without losing a life?
Try lots of boomerang guys (upgrade to lightsaber later on), freeze towers and buccaneers/aces

Personally I don't think the buccaneers help that much except in dire situations.

Why not?
They have decent range, pierces and shoot at crapload speed if you upgrade them.
Although you have to pay mochicoins to upgrade buccaneers to shoot cannonballs...

Because they just shoot a small area of the course and can miss easily.

Hearing that tells me that you've only played the easiest stage.

The buccaneers are a total godsend on the intermediate stage that looks like the earth . . . I was able to put one in the center, unaided, and got it up to battleship and lasted till about round 40 without having to get anything else. (I sped up the revenue-gaining with a banana plantation)

Are you kidding? Buccaneers are beastly towers. They have high power, speed and range and are really inexpensive for how useful they are.

But Alt's already explained that, I should say. :P

I wish the flaming cannonball upgrade wasn't a mochicoin upgrade, though.
