The worst part about it is that if you're going to see it you should see it in a theater, because of the special effects. So yeah, no point in waiting for it to go to dvd, hbo or download it.
I agree Morrigan the only part i liked was the loud sounds and effects on the screen but the actual story was dumb. This story has been done over and over the only thing that made this movie a hit is that everyone thinks the world will end in 2012...
Effects were great, but the plot has been exhausted by so many other movies, a broken family, new boyfriend, father too busy for family, the works. I mean, the story wasn't terrible, but... nothing special.

Some people have mixed feeling but the movie basically tried to keep you occupied with the cool CGI effects and hide the plot behind them. It's...ok I guess. But couldn't any movie be good with super good CGI effects? At least the physics in the movie makes sense.
the sotryline was pretty bad but the special effects was AMAZING. for example when they were flyin out of LA and watching the whole city collapse (( guy getting hit w/ car if any1 noticed =P)). the storyline has a LOT of room for more plot and adding to storyline but how much effort put into se was phenomenal
