Would you trade your religion for 10 million dollars? If you were a Christian would you stop going to church, reading the bible, and praying for 10 million dollars. If you were an atheist would you go to church every sunday, pray, and read the bible. Think about it 10 million dollars.
If I was an Atheist, I would have no problem spending a couple hours a week doing religious stuff for 10 million.
Now if a religious person agreed to the deal, what's going to stop them from praying, or secretly going to a Church, Mosque, Temple, or whatever? Money won't make someone an instant Atheist.
I know it's one of those "hypothetical situations" but if it's unrealistic, it just seems like a waste of time to debate.
It depends. For ten million dollars, I'd gladly go to Mass every Sunday. But I would not give up soda pop and spend years of my life dressed up in a suit going to people asking if they've heard about the LDS Church. Not gonna be a lifelong Mormon. Not even for ten million dollars. I don't know how those people do it!
