Okay, so I was at my local WalMart, looking for CoD:MW2(Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) for PS3. I grab one, then move on to the PC Games section. In the distance, I here someone whining. Turns out to be some kid, about the age of 11 or 12. Who I believe is his mom tries to tell him to be quiet, because everyone is staring at them.
So, she grabs one of the World of Warcraft boxes and shows it to him. He stops and grabs it, and starts squealing with delight. He didn't have autism so I didn't know what was wrong with the kid.
Rather, that is how parents make children act these days. I have probably been doing the same things when I was a kid, but I would have gotten slapped and told to shut up, and that would have been the end of that. These days parents have to bride their kids into behaving.

Exactly what i got, now its considered child abuse.
I've seen the same kind of thing on numerous other items, from candy to clothes to games..
I know. If i did that i probally wouldn't be trusted to go into wal-mart for a year. At disney world you see like 8 year olds getting pushed around in strollers.
Heh, I used to try and get my parents to do that. Bribe me with stuff to shut me up. Know this, those kids know what's up, and they know they can get a foothold on you. But, hey, my parents were more so "Enough is Enough". So I did fail most of the time.
It's mostly to do with the way the parent teaches the kid. Where as, kids are no longer taught by experince from one parent to the other, but now, they have books on the oorrect way to do thngs etc.

There is still nothing wrong with yanking the child by the arm out the of the store and leaving without giving in. Seriously...some of these parents need to get a backbone or their children are going to grow up as brats expecting everything in the world.

Well said. I was spanked as a kid, and most ppl now see that as child abuse. But lemme say I am GLAD they spanked me, cause I know it kept me from being a lazy, spoonfed adult.
Think if kids act like this today what will there children be like?
Actually... (thinking optimistically) the generation after might be good. If the parents (today's children) always want to get their way, then they might not give into their whining children! (Or... they might just be give their children everything as well and the problem with perpetuate)
Its there parents who spoil them and then wonder why their kid is so messed up.
its more of the kid trying something new to see if it works, like whining, and it works so they keep on doing it until the same concept applies to everything else. so if parent A gives in to the whining all the time, this will eventually spill over to everything else, as the brain sees nothing wrong w/ it in childs mind
