Is anyone else annoyed with the Evony advertisements that keep popping up? I can never get to ArmorGames when those come up. Couldn't ArmorGames at least have a "continue to ArmorGames" button? I've tried Evony, hate it, and I was stopped 6 times because of those advertisements before I got to post this!
[rant]I don't mind ads in general, but Evony ads just get me riled up. To get onto games websites, kids have too see this rubbish. It sucks. A few of my friends tried Evony, and unexplained pop-ups and adverts would flash up on their desktop. There are rumours of it downloading keyloggers into your system, and then selling the info on. Either way, Evony is still a cheap Age of Empires knock off with no discernible merit whatsoever. Their have been complaints, but Evony continues to grind on... But as I said, I don't mind ads in general, it's only ones like:
'Your the 1,000,00 Vissitor! Click here to get you prize!'
Seems to me that the people who have problems with it don't have an 'ADD-BLOCKER' and the people who don't have problem have one...

# 1 Read the thread made by Klaushouse on the starting page of this forum
# 2 get an add-blocker to prevent these ads from popping up

I know... I know... but I can't seem to ignore the fact that a lot of users keep complaining about those ads and that's the (to my knowledge) only helpful thing for those who don't want to listen, hence the microphone...
But I completely agree, people should stop complaining about having ads on AG, since there's no other way for them to gain money and we don't want pay-to-play in the future!

Take #2 out and that reply is correct. Remember, blocking ads lowers site revenue for AG
Yeah so that companies could track you adventures all over the Internet and collect a very nice little log of all your activities that then they would sell or someone would hack and get that information and track what websites you visit so they could find the weakest one and hack that one to get your password and then bad news for you .

Agreed. Yea sucks when your mom takes ur adapter for a week cuz she thought you were watching pr0n.....grrr...stupid Evony.
MrDayCee and Freakenstein, for the last time directing anyone with a dislike towards the advertisements to that thread is a silly argument. Most users are aware that Armor Games require advertisements to keep the website running however - when they begin to get conspicuous to the point of creating annoyance, ruining the experience (i.e lagging the game until it's not enjoyable) or, like Random Player of AG says, poses a threat to your computer - we have full right to ignore these advertisements.
I, and many other users will refuse to turn of ad-block if the advertisements give users shit like this. The more frustrating ads (i.e the flashier ones that should get more money) will be the ones seeing a decline in users and in the long run a massive drop in income.

Evony slows EVERYTHING down. I played it once, cause it said stuff about middle age empires and that, not these photoshoped women saying stuff about "come play my lord" and it was so boring. not even worth the sign up. After I tried that game, all of these evony ads popped up continuosly so I blocked ALL the pop ups. which was sad, cause some of the game ads are really cool and worth it. I got Grand Fantasia from ads, MapleStory, WonderKing, EarthEternal, etc. etc. They were cool. How does Evony keep making money? it SUCKS. who in there right mind likes it anyways?!
