Since I joined this community there msut have been a dozen or so threads on this subject and everytime I have said The Who. Now this time is no different I love their energy, the songs, the members, the live performance etc. However right up their at the moment is Blur amazing songs, lyrics and vocals and they have a great BritPop energy that even Oasis can't match sometimes.

No, not even close. The musician/band closest to PF's record is Johnny Mathis, with 490 weeks on the chart for one of hi salbums. PF had 742 weeks charting for DSotM. Iron Maiden isn't even in the top 10.
I love both Pink Floyd and Modest Mouse. PF are a great space rock band, and MMouse are the kings of indie/alternative rock.
