mostly from babies that aren't wanted anyways (and would otherwise be thrown in a foster home, which is NOT a good environment to grow up in), or from babies who are already dead/dying.

What does it matter? Thousands of fetuses are aborted, if not millions, why not use them?

God-damn-straight.

When they say that they're using the stem cells of fetuses, they don't mean that they're kidnapping cradles out of the Newborn Room in hospitals.

its a good idea and yes if you think about where your meat comes from it might want to make you become a vegetarian most things have a pretty disgusting process people just live with them my idea to replace stem cells is use cancer
if we used cancer to regenrate the cells and just kill it off when its done i think that should work much better

please tell me when we discovered how to defeat cancer.

also, stem cells are much more affective.
and wouldn't hurt more than help.

What's there to know? They take aborted/donated fetuses and take cells from them, called stem cells, that can be used to create any other type of cell. It's like a piece of clay, you can do whatever you wan't with it, grown an arm, replace a nose.

There are other sources, such as cord blood and the placenta. And even after you aren't a baby anymore you still have stem cells. Might as well harvest it from all of the dead if you go around killing babies for it. Who cares if it is disrespectful to the dead, you had no respect for the baby.

What if that baby would have been you? It is a life you are destroying. When we begin to harvest people you know there is a huge problem with morality. It is just sick and wrong to kill one that another might live longer. If you could kill 1 person and be immortal would you really do it?

Well, People should start getting stem cells from recently deceased and unwanted foetuses , nuff said

they do. those are the only ones they use. they're not openly accepting your babies with "leave them on the step" signs.

"harvest" is a huge exaggeration.
If the mother cannot afford the child, or does not want it, and does not want it to go into an orphanage (not a great place to grow up), the decision is a bit more viable, and with stem cell research they can save a life that someone wants.

bad question to ask.

Yes, I would do it, and would encourage anyone to do it. If one is immortal, they can work longer and reproduce more than if they had let the other live. The immortal person can also specialize in (a) field(s) and work more efficiently, benefiting the economy more.

I didn't say you could make anyone else immortal. You would watch your family have children, die, their children have children, die, their.... you get the point. You would see the rise and fall of nations and all the destruction that goes along with it. And you would still be around to personally meet the Antichrist, which IMHO is not a very fun experience.
