So, what are your thoughts? One yaer later, is he doing a good job? (Republicans have won a couple of senatorial rounds recently. Hint hint.)

Personally I think he has not accomplished as much as he promised, though to be fair, it's still early in his term.

He hasn't been a bad President, but I agree that he hasn't accomplished as much as he seemed to have promised. Not that I expected him to, but so far the only notable thing he has started (not even completed, yet) is health care reform. Of course, there have been smaller things, but nothing very notable.

He has his heart in the right place, but it's going to be difficult to accomplish anything with such fierce Republican opposition.

Well, he's already won the Nobel Prize. That's more than any of us could do in a whole lifetime. It took Einstein like 60 years to win it, but it just took Obama less than 1 year! I just think it says a lot about him.

HAH!!! The Nobel peace prize was awarded to him for, "breaking the racial barrier" and being the first black president. He didn't do ANYTHING. He has already golfed more than Bush did, and he could have pulled out of Iraq by now if he was planning on it.

He has his heart in the right place, but it's going to be difficult to accomplish anything with such fierce Republican opposition.

Ever think WHY they oppose the whole healthcare thing?

He has his heart in the right place

That, and his wallet. You get paid a ton of money to be president, and what's he doing? Golfing. It's like a paid vaccation for him.

The President gets $400,000. That's a lot of money, but it's no where near what athletes and CEO's make. Being President of the US has to be the most stressful job in the world, and there are people who put a ball in a goal who make more money. It's pretty pathetic.

Bush spent about 30% of his presidency on vacation. So did Reagan. And so did a bunch of other presidents, democrats and republicans. It's probably the most stressful job in the world, the dude's allowed to friggin' golf.

He's golfed as much as Bush did in his first term withen a year. That's 4 times the amount of golfing.

It's probably the most stressful job in the world, the dude's allowed to friggin' golf.

It's not stressful when you spend 95% of that job doing whatever you want.

The President gets $400,000. That's a lot of money, but it's no where near what athletes and CEO's make.

Considering that they get paid AFTER leaving office and still get secret service, and that all you have to do is fool enough people to get into office in the first place, it's quite a bit.

Wow, just . . . wow . . . .

1) 95% is a HUGE exaggeration.

2) And you've never been president, so you don't know if it's always stressful or not. Neither do we. But running the most powerful country in the world has to be pretty dang stressful. The dude is allowed to golf.

Also, you're not taking into account that Bush, over 8 years, spent 879 days on vacation. That's a bit under half of his entire presidency. Obama is allowed to take vacation too, and so what if he golfs?

True, it's probably more like he's golfing...30% of the time? It's pretty high considering that what your saying is Bush "took a vaccation" a about every 3 days, so in order to meet that in a year, oh, wait, 95% isn't that big an exaggeration, now is it...?

And you've never been president, so you don't know if it's always stressful or not.

I know what causes stress, and golfing isn't a factor unless you're really bad at it.

Lol, it wasn't me that spelled vacation wrong xD

Then he's golfing as much as Bush went on his ranch and you have no reason to complain unless you like being a hypocrite.

I know what causes stress, and golfing isn't a factor unless you're really bad at it.

You totally misunderstood what I said . . . .

I was saying that being *president* was extremely stressful. He probably needs lots of time to golf, just Like Bush needed lots of time on the ranch. Besides, he's taken less vacation time percentage-wise than Bush so far, just played a hell of a lot more golf.
