I'm Australian, which is Approx 18 hours ahead of America. So if you live in American or somewhere in that timezone, I guess that'd make sense. That kind of sucks, eh?

I'm guessing it's actually counting down on Pacific, Eastern, Central or Mountain time, so you'll have to wait about another day or so.

It originally had the timer to go off at 2 for me, when I checked at around 2:30 it was at the 000 thing and couldn't be clicked. Now it looks like it has been reset for 4 est.

I played it half an hour before you did Jonny you got beat to the punch XD

Well, turns out that your opponent can use specials too...cept that it costs XP to do that. The enemy likes to use specials often, so that drains their XP a lot, preventing them from evolving fast enough. My record so far is three areas ahead of him and wiping them out in 30 seconds on a single run. You gotta scare him with large numbers lol

Leo you gotta not use specials, because using your special will drain your xp.. then you gotta trick the opponent into using the special. I think that they do that by responding against high numbers.

God's wrath is a huge waste of money. Costs 20000 1 hits unit, but it fires and moves SLOW. They have 5000 hp which may seem like a lot, but it does crap against 4 turrets. Buying the upgrade and saving for the unit is not worth it.

................ Insane is practically impossible. I'm not losing or anything but I JUST CAN'T KILL THEM HIM. We're on last age with me having 8789 HP and the computer has 7349 HP. I got all upgrades maxed except for infantry (it's a piece of crap in final age) and the only way to beat him requires timing and spamming anti-armor at him. The only way i can get him to lose life is to time my special injuring all the units on the screen so they die a lot faster. The timing is that i have to time the special so it reaches the spawn point right when the new unit will spawn. Sounds easy? It isn't. There's this 2 second delay you have to deal with before the beams come down, then you have to wait for it to reach the spawning point. Agh, I'm gonna take a break for now, it's so tiring.

Anyone have a good decent guide/walkthrough for this game?

OOOO me! But i've only tried Normal and Insane.

Normal is simple because your equally strong compared to your opponent (excluding upgrades). Just advance ages as usual and you use your special when there's several enemy units. Save your money for turrets and turret slots. Upgrade when you can too! In the end, just try to build several anti-armor gunners to kill your opponent. Insane on the other hand....

In Insane, you are at a major disadvantage. The enemy units already have been upgraded, and you must upgrade as well to be equally superior to them. The strategy is practically the same as Age of War 1. Except it's harder because the prices of units don't increase (so you can't get more money) as you progress through ages. In the beginning, buy a turret slot and a chicken rifle/egg-o-matic. Second name sounds cooler lol. You must stay near your base and keep building support units (those giant rock throwers, or slingers you would call them), because like in Age of War 1, you can stack them to be on top of each other so they may fire all at once without reducing the range capability. As you get kills, it's okay to use your special, because as the game goes on, the exp cost for it is barely anything and it is still effective. Save your money for turret slots and rock slingshot things and sell your chicken rifle/egg-o-matic for a rock slingshot thing. Stop at 3 turret slots and 3 rock slingshots. By now, you should be around the Egyptian or Classic ages. Keep staying near your base, using your special, and with spare money, upgrade your turret damage/range and just your support damage. You will also need the Income upgrade as soon as possible. When the enemy gets to modern age, it is time to join him. Advance your way to modern age and start pumping out those hand held machine gunners. You are now almost equal to the enemy machine gunners because of damage. But you are not quite equal because support units do not have an armor upgrade (enemy has more health). Keep fighting near your base doing the same thing as if you were in cavemen age and sell your rock slingshots for rocket turrets. Use your special as minimal as possible, it is expensive in experience now. Try to race for the futuristic age before him. So now, you should have at least 1 rocket turret and the rest slingshots. Keep building those support units and staying near your base. Sell your slingshots (if you have any) for the Heavy Plasma Cannon. Then slowly one by one replace each turret with the heavy plasmas (slingshots first). Now, when you have 3 heavy plasmas, you can either aim for the 4th turret slot, or start upgrading your anti-armor units. You can do either. Now it is time to exit the area of your base. When you fully upgrade anti-armor damage and partially armor and sufficient amount of money, spam the anti-armor gunners at the enemy non-stop. They should die fairly fast because of the range on the anti-armor units. To win, just simply do the same thing i'm trying to do in my above post.

*Crucial! In insane you spend a very large portion of the game fighting near your base.

Is it still possible to kill the enemy in the last stage when they have maxed turrets?...
