I'm not sure if this is allowed.I am under the impression that it is a bit of an unspoken rule to have an OP in another language, but I think that this is necessary to ascertain that people aren't really cheating. Not necessarily a real thread, more like a poll, and part of the poll is to have some of it in a foreign language. I'm just curious, lock if you must. If you speak the language, read and correspond accordingly. Instead of the saying the name of the language, I will say "this language" in each, so that any cheaters (Mind-Moat: *whacks flexi ruler against hand threateningly) will not be able to recognize what language to go to for a translator. Si vos narro is lingua, tunc narro "Ego narro is; Ego est callidus!" Right...soo...respond accordingly if you speak the languages, and if ya mods need to lock this, go ahead. No, before you ask, I am not a quinlangual(s?). I only speak Latin and English. I cheetzed. xP Every now and then, I'll change the code phrase... But before zis starts... Ego narro is lingua; Ego sum callidus!
Once you learn Latin, it becomes a lot easier to have a basic understanding of other languages because it's the base for almost all languages you will encounter.
Fail. Latin is the base of only 8 languages among thousands.
If you speak the language, read and correspond accordingly.
Uhm... Accordingly would be actually responding, I assume. Ich spreche nicht sehr gut Deutsch, aber Ich habe es in Schule gelernt. I think I recognise the other ones, but well.
Wow, nice to remember one sign but not the other... I am sleepy > >... Anyway, just to take it: Thank goodness for living in Denmark, where it is a habit to learn German in school. Many learn French and Spanish as well, which makes us a country where you know (or learn) 3.5 languages in average. Also (in my very broken German): But I have never really remembered the German language. (Because I fail). /Having to translate to keep it to the site policy.
Balerion, if you don't like it, then leave the thread. Thank you Bjiscuit. Cen and Snake, explain what about it you don't understand and I will try to fix it. Here's the gist of all the things; it says if you speak this language, then say "______". And I will keep track of all the people who do so. People who fail to follow the instructions(i.e. everyone who's posted so far) will not be counted. Sum Ego agnosco?
Fuzzy as in "I try to figure out the instructions by looking at the English more than the other. I think it is the "reply accordingly". But yeah. I figured I was pretty much tired, also, I find 'klug' to be a clumpsy word, but sure: Ich spreche dieses. Ich bin klug. Jeg taler også det her, men det gør mig bare til dansker.
