I actually didn't like the recipe as much as others... I was trying a new one from a cookie book I got as a present. But it tastes more like a sugar cookie than shortbread... I am going to have to go back and find my old one. The mixer still did his job well though ;-)
I was making pancakes this morning and you had to use 3x the amount of milk the recipe called for. It said that it would be nice and throffy, NOT like concrete mix. Apparently, there was a fail at the website.
Banana bread is pretty great xD unfortunately, I don't know if I'm going to get any this holiday season. My great aunts usually make a food basket type of thing (with banana bread in it) for my family, but one aunt died, so I'm not sure if we'll get it.
I looked up the 'Best Thing Since Society' website, and they have spent years campaigning for something to replace sliced bread in the 'best thing since' category. Here are some of the alternatives they offer:
resealable coffee packets, the suck nipple on bottled water, cashback, the 'recall email' facility on Microsoft Outlook, Snake II, multi region DVD players, Orange Wednesdays and the Daily Telegraph Giant Geberal Knowledge Crossword.
I also found a great response to the 'best thing since' thread on the aformentioned society's forum. It read thus:
