What's everyone's favorite metallica song? Mine is Fight Fire With Fire because it's so heavy. The heaviest at that time.

Mine is "Trapped Under Ice", it really does sum up the youthful agression that characterized the early Metallica, too bad they've moved away from that stage, but hey, all bands evolve with time.

As for me, I would say Orion. Instrumental/spacey/heavy. It's awesome.

Others of my favorites are One, Master of Puppets, Pulling Teeth, and Enter Sandman.

Instrumental
I'll go with The Call Of Ktulu for an instrumental. It's got that powerful, smooth, yet strong sound.

My favorites are Fade To Black, Master Of Puppets, Seek & Destroy, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Harvester Of Sorrow, King Nothing, Ride The Lightning, and many more.

That's always been a tossup for me. The Call of Ktulu has what you said, but it just doesn't really have a complete set of instrumental that Orion has. It meets more of traditional Metallica than an instrumental.

And Orion has the most awesome bass line ever.

Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

I gotta go with Trapped Under Ice as well...it still blows me away, even tho I don't listen to metallica anymore...when I do it's Ride the Lighting

Probably "Ride the lightning", that's also the first song that I heard from Metallica , although most of their song are great.

My favorite metallica song is nothing else matters. It's an amazing song. The beginning is wonderful and the lyrics are great.

I've recently taking a liking to Unforgiven III. It's awesome, and not overly intense but still got a different air of energy about it.
