They said that it was the song that everyone could love....blah blah blah. Number 2 was some Jay-Z song, number 3 was Outkast's "Hey Ya." There was a whole top 50.
There was an entire top 50 for albums too, and number 1 in that was Radiohead's Kid A.
Rolling Stone is crap. I think they put slash as one of the best guitarists, yet ignored john petrucci, jason becker and jeff loomis. That tells you everything you need to know about them.

I agree. What about Jerry Cantrell? I would like to see somebody play some of his songs. I also don't agree with Angus Young in the 90s. That guy is awesome. I'm against that list.
Now back on subject, I think that list is just what Zihark said. After I checked on the Top 100 Greatest Guitarists I never looked at another Rolling Stones list.
I'm not into that much pop or rap anyways, so after seeing the first 3 songs I have no intention of looking it up. I'm stuck on grunge, metal, and rock 'n' roll.

you gotta like crazy though come on dud that song is legendary
Crazy was a good song. However, if it was released in the 80's, it wouldn't of made the top 50. If released in the 90's, it wouldn't of made the top 25. But it's a good song, deserving of the award.

Yes, they may not be that great of genres, but you have to listen to them in order to have a good knowledge and make lists such as this. To ignore those genres is ignorant.
As for top album, I think there have been some albums better than that. All That You Can't Leave Behind by U2 and Viva La Vida by Coldplay are 1 and 2 in my opinion.
Also, why is there no Foo Fighters or Pearl Jam on these lists? They have been the two of the five best artists of this decade in my opinion, and they're rock legends. They should get more respect than this. I bought Backspacer, Pearl Jam's latest album, and Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace and Greatest Hits, the Foo Fighters last two albums, and am very much pleased with them.
pearl jams new album isnt all that good dude sorry to say. i dont know why the foo fighters arnt though. youd think my hero would be like number 6 or 7
