When the United states was founded it was founded with freedom of religion, but what i dont understand is why in modern times is religion so important. Even on this site religion seems to make the top 3-5 topics on the World Events, Politics, Religion, Etc. Forum. Why why is this such a debate in the modern times? And why dint this stop in 1782 when the country was officially founded? I want your answers!
it's such a debate when religion is all rather confuse. hitler's religion was christinity. christinity supposed to make you do good things. but then hitler killed the jews because they killed his god. so his religion made him do bad things. but this act restored the jews to their homeland of israel. this is something they were promised according to religion, and hitler fulfilled the promise. so this is confuse, and need to debate if hitler's religion made him do good things after all.
Now I am pissed. You have no idea what a Nazi is. He has not thrown bodies into furnaces or shot babies. You are a disgrace. Nazis were intolerant of Jews and CATHOLICS as well as gypsies, cripples, homosexuals, and the homeless. Yes they claimed to have a tie to the faith in their listing of principals but that is meaningless as they showed themselves to be monsters. Can you ignore the deaths of MILLIONS of Catholics at the hands of Hitler?
Umm...Nazis did throw people into oven. And shot babies. >_>
If I recall right...only something like 3 million Catholics died during the Holocaust at the hands of the Nazi regime. Compared to 6 million Jews. Which, eh, each is quite a large number. Yet one is larger. And not as responsible for so many death in the past.
"Hitler did not restore the Holy Land to the Jews. That is preposterous. That was France and the United Kingdom."
you are just wrong. hitler's role is very confused. most say he was bad. but without hitler's holocaust there would be no israel. that's why some think hitler was just a christin prophet trying to fulfill the nasi promise of a jewish homeland.
My point is that the one he called a Nazi did not throw people into ovens and shoot babies.
God is all powerful. He promised the Jews their land back and it was going to happen no matter what. The holocaust is not directly responsible for the reformation of Israel. The armies of France and the UK are.

I never ignored that. I supported my evidence that he was a Nazi.
Just to point out, the "Nazis" were originaly a worker union, not made to kill jews. Hitler joined from a different party, then took it over, gave it a new name, and made it grow. And I also wanted to point out the Nazi party also killed communist.

Because we have the freedom of religion, so therefore we can talk about of religions and our beliefs. Did you really need to ask that question?
