We know what has been revealed to us by God. Anything else that hasn't been revealed... It doesn't factor in my salvation, so I don't worry about it. God has it under control. I will tell you why I believe, though. I was born to a girl who was 14 when she got pregnant, 15 when I was born. This same girl had my sister at 19, and married some retarded (not quite an exaggeration) tattoo artist. He seriously didn't know the difference between astronomy and anatomy. I was maybe six when they got divorced. Few years down the road, my mother marries a man who has zero college, worked as a Marine, and had to work as a bouncer to get extra cash. They were so poor that they could very rarely afford to have the awesome treat that was a box of chicken nuggets from McDonalds. (Disgusting, yeah, but that's the situation.) I had many nights where a can of Beenie Wenies was the meal. The entire meal. No side dishes, nothing. I had, and still have, medical issues. I once spent two weeks in bed crying and screaming and sleeping because of the pain. But here I am today. That marine my mother married is now a Networking Engineer at a good company. He makes enough to put me and three of my sisters (I have six siblings total.) and my mother in a 3400 sq ft house, single income family. My medical issues are pretty much resolved. Every now and then, they flare up. But considering the frequency with which they used to come, I'm very thankful for where I am at now. The Lord has been there with me every step of the way. By all rights I should be, I deserve to be, still be living in a trailer, eating beenie weenies and standing for hours in a welfare line. I once stood in a warehouse while they unloaded a crate of Kix. Man I loved Kix, and I had to sit there for hours, staring at it. Nothing but the Lord could have brought me from lower class to upper middle in less than ten years. Or an inheritance, but that sure as hell isn't gonna happen.

O I forgot. This won't have them stunned becase there logic is "God exists!!1!!" and there backup is "Becase he does"
There is no possible understanding of the Divine. Man cannot comprehend the mind or even eternal existence of God

wrong, though i am not a stong aithiest(bad grammar),i do not think god made everthing in the world.sure i have thoughs about god once and a while,i also dont thinks he exists.if he exsisted, there would not be so much pain and suffering in the world.
but i think its because,if he reveales himself, all the human race would be shoving requests down his throat.i think about that stuff all the time.

and yes mellowman can say deep things

Where did you describe the big bang?

Kirby:

1.Everything has a cause.
2. The Big Bang just happened?
3. No, something outside of our universe or reality must have caused it.
In theory of course.

According to your first postulate, 'everything' needs to have had a cause. Since god is a part of 'everything', he needs to have had a cause.

Now we have this un-ending chain of gods creating gods who exist in other universes or realities - according to your third postulate. In the end, it doesn't answer anything.

As Owen so eloquently put, He was his own cause. He has always been. It's abstract.

There is no beginning to god, And no end pretty much.

He was his own cause. He has always been.

Then this contradicts the first postulate - that 'everything' has a cause. If that's null, then Perhaps the universe has, and always will be here in some shape or form, and did not have an original cause.

At the point, why add 'god' to the mix? It's adding an extra step, and we have no reason to add it, since we have no proof for a deity.

So your step dad makes enough money to support you and your family in a better living environment then what you had, so God exists? Not seeing the connection here.

Nothing but the Lord could have brought me from lower class to upper middle in less than ten years. Or an inheritance, but that sure as hell isn't gonna happen.

Or a guy with a good paying job willing to support you and your family.

By all rights I should be, I deserve to be, still be living in a trailer, eating beenie weenies and standing for hours in a welfare line.

That's a pretty low opinion of yourself.

NOAH OMFG THE BIG BANG DIDN'T NEED A BEGINNING OR A CAUSE I'VE SAID THIS ALREADY

1) Time and space are relative
2) All of space, and therefore all of time were in that singularity
3) outside the singularity, there was no time
4) Cause and beginning require time
5) there was no time
6) there was no beginning or cause for the singularity, and no cause for the Big Bang

You can't apply any scientific law having to do with time to the occurrence of the Big Bang, because there wasn't time until after the Big Bang happened. Our laws of causation do not apply, and are not needed, so a cause is not needed for the Big Bang to be scientifically sound or possible.

CookBook (I am not going to quote your wall of text), the exact opposite works just as well. I could tell some long tale of a nice life gone horrible and say that proves god does not exist, and would you agree with that?
