Today, I got NHL 2k10 for PS3... it's not that great. I'd rather have NHL 10. My question is, would Walmart exchange the games, since they are equal value? The problem is that NHL 2k10 is already open >.<
Is there a change that they may not just take my game, then exchange it for the same one?
And would it make a difference if I said the game was defective? (probably, but do you think I would get anywhere?) :P
Your best chance is to say it is defective, they will either give you a refund or possibly just give you a new copy.
Probably not. Policies involving movies/games/music are usually no return if open. You can only exchange (for the same item you bought) it it's defective.
Just break it, or give it a massive scratch, say it must have been wrecked in the store.
I don't wanna take the chance of them saying no to that, and not having a game. lol.
Do you have NHL 09? I heard NHL 10 is basically the same thing anyways.
Nah, I have NHL 08. First version of EA hockey on PS3, so not as many features and a few minor glitches. Doesn't make that much of a difference though.
That is why I would like NHL 10. :P
yeah u should keep it i reckon u will like it if u accept it
I do like it, problem is I find it difficult to switch from EA-style hockey games to 2K-sports hockey games. The gameplay style is quite different, and the graphics in NHL 10 are superior.
Why not just be happy with what you have? Learn to be grateful.
Who said I wasn't grateful? I'm happy that I got something. That adds nothing to the topic. You don't need to be rude.
I guess I'll try exchanging it, if not... whatever. I wonder if I exchange my opened one... if they will give me a new one, and I can return that? :P But I've heard they open the game at the counter.
Nope, they won't give you NHL2010. It's apart of the security system. Where as, they take it that could have burnt the game onto another disk, and want to return it and get a refund. Which would mean you'll get a free game. So to avoid that, they'll give you your refund but also, if you say it's defective, they'll give you another copy of NHL2K10 as the refund. Thus, if you had been trying to rip them off, you ended up with the same game.

Why thank you for repeating what as already been said.

Why your welcome kind sir...
Not the first time something has been repeated on this site, get used to it. Besides, I didn't read the whole thread, other wise I would've kept to myself. Boredom comes with great risk's of stupidity....

That's the stupid part. It's not even possible to do such a thing on the PS3. Plus, Bluray discs cost like $20 each anyways -.-
This happened to me a long time ago, and I got a game that wasn't individually defective, it was just the fact that the game was horribly programmed. After 4 rounds of exchanges... they finally gave me the refund. Don't know if that will work this time...
