I think that they are brutal

Probably the War Ax of the Vikings. It was usually 5 1/2-7 foot tall, with a blade usually as big as a tire.
It was pretty much an executioners ax, only weilded by a bloodthirsty berserker, high off of various mushrooms, flailing this weapon around as if it were a mere twig.
Pretty kewl.

The Flambard, also known as the flammenschwert aka the flame-bladed sword. when you parry the attackers sword gets a bunch of vibrations due to the wave pattern in the flambard.

either a mace or a morning star, no helmet can protect you from one of those

I say the German Zweihander! A massive sword ment to kill pikemen and guys on horses!

Maybe a nice sword.

Silent but deadly. Those big cannons go BOOM, and alerts the enemeys.

But a sword, can be poisoned. Silent. Deadly.

not if there are 1000 cannons. if all you have are archers, cannons and guys holding crossbows then the little foot soldiers will get pwned. cannons would blow through shields.

I can't chose between them so I ad to put all of my favorites down:
Mace
Ball and Chain
Scimatar
Sling

The Rapier. admittedly it's hardly practical for wide scale battle, but c'mon, It's so stylish XD

Mongolian compound bow, possbly the best bow in that time perod saw a thing about it on T.V. beat the range and damge of all the others

i like spears and cross bows can create lot of damage

i also have to go with the katana. it is a beautiful weapon and very powerful

crossbow. its like the bow and arrow but better

I think that crossbows are very good weapons

i cant choose just 1 weapon so i will put my fave for each catagory:

long range: english longbow or mongolian compound bow.

long ranged melee: double sided pole axe(a pole with a big blade on either side) OR a blade pole(a pole with a short sword blad on the end(like an extended spear.

short ranged melee: japanese medium length katana
