Role Playing, not Role Playing Game? Role Playing in writing terms are like dramas: dialogue, people have assumed "roles", and there is a plot and storyline involved.
But if you're thinking of something toadally different, whoops....
Per def. Roleplaying (games) should go into the game section. Most cannot keep up actual role playing, so that is where. The only exception is the WoM, which is located in the Art section.
Anything else, you explain what you mean, otherwise it is darn hard to answer.

I haven't seen an AG playwright make an actual drama in the AMW forum though. I would enjoy reading those especially the intense ones :P
The WoM (way of Moderation) is a story telling game/ original character tournament that is held in the Art section. Applications were sent in this some for people who wanted to join, and we are hoping to finish sometimes... soon. Before that, there was the MWT (mixed world tournament) that worked the same principles, and that is really what can be allowed outside of the Forum games. Whether there will be another mass rpg, we will see about. If someone is able to put together something similar, they will probably be allowed to have it outside of the forum games, as long as it is monitored.

So, basically a rpg. It is called the same whether it is based like the ones usually seen in the forum games, or like that. It should go in the forum games.
A RP is when lots of people post making a story based on a plot. A RPG is when the guy that made the thread posts posts something like "You walk in a cave and see a monster. What do you do?" and then he replays and says what he does, and posts switch off between 2 people.
Those? Oh lol we have a couple in the tavern, but some of them are locked, because they don't generate enough thought. Instead of a 7 word story, or..a one word story, why not go with a one-paragraph story? I'm pretty sure that would be an all right move, just as long as everyone that participates gives enough thought and effort into their paragraphs.
Heck, I'll join if there's enough guys doing it too.
RP: Roleplay. Forum games. Because it is the same as a roleplaying game. It is. Some people do it one way, some do it another way. Seriously. I have roleplayed that way for a couple of years, and it is still the same as the blocky way that most rpgs in the forum games go by. So, I will refer to my posts above and say "unless you are going to build up a mass rpg like the WoM or MWT (a darn lot of work), it goes to the forum games, because it is essentially a role playing game. Unless it is without a gm, then it is a bloody mess also known as "lets write a story together", which goes the same place. Almost none here has the ability to stay focused on others and read a lot, so that is why the other type is more common.
Wait.....so how is "lets write a story together", as in each person types something and the next person write something, the same as "Alien RPG"? *scratches head* I mean, I get what you're saying, but the first type isn't really a "game" so much as multiple people putting together a story. I'm two-faced about that one. So Alien RPG obviously a forum game, epic rpg's go in the AMW, and well-organized story threads go.....
RPG are not games in the general term either. Story telling games are not games either, but are rpgs. And if that example he gave is going to be an actual showcase of how it will go, it does belong in the forum games. There was the never ending story, which was a free form kinda role playing, but not quite rp, and telling a story but not so much-kinda thing, and it ended up dead in the Tavern, I think, because it did not belong in the AMV with the content it had.
As mentioned, if he can make something like a mass story telling game similar to the ones I have mentioned, I am sure he can have them to be in the AMV, but other than that, a rp is a rp, and such belongs in the forum games. The stickies says so. And so far, all the continue-the-story-threads have ended up belonging in the forum games as well due to its unstable and spammish content.
Depends on the RP, like with the WoM, or the MWT, a OCT (Original Character Tournament) should go into the art section. If you're looking for a non-serious, in your spare time, not very well updated one, I would go for the forum games.
