Zoph makes nice art. Flashing armatars by her will either be crappy or ruin her name in the Art Community.
Flashing animations are almost always crappy. Animated avatars can be quite awesome. I'm close to taking slight offense from your comment... Since I have strongly considered pursuing an education in the animation field and what you said is kinda like "lolno, no way she can animate and if she tries the AMW will laugh at her". But assuming you didn't mean it like that, offense has not been taken.
The last artist that added in armatars without contest was Zophia and her dinosaur armatar set. Heeey Zophia, want a job? ROFL
If AG was interested in commissioning me, mayhaps.
This has been suggested before, btw. I think the answer was no, but can't remember why.

Keeping my head low there... No, it wasn't meant to be offensive. I just picture you're art like paintings that belong on a wall, and a flashing thing does not fit the picture. But you're choice...

That helps... I think the reason was 'it annoys people who don't want it, and distracts from games'. The answer is probably burred under 9999 long dead threads.
thats best idea ever. animated armatars. fo 15000 AP i suppose?
I might like armatars, but I think even the optimist will never try that long to get 15,000 AP for a few flashy icons. And that would sort of make the high AP users an 'elite bunch' who get something lower AP users don't.
But I have to agree, animated armatars should be at a high AP amount( Like 1000, or at the very least, 500) to avoid people who spam a bit and then throw flashy things all over the site. That is, if they ever get accepted...
If every time you pushed the "next page" Button, it would be awsome if a picture of jesus winking at you surrounded by swirling flowers saying "ok" popped up, but it would just be pointless, as would these.

Heh, did say I figure you didn't mean it offensively. And thanks for the painting comparison. Animations are more than little flashing things, though~
This would be awesome! Animated Armatars! Animated Armatars like A Knight With A Sword Swinging it around! A dude with a Crossbow that fires!
Do you think this would be great?
How about a thing where we can upload images first. If we can do that, we *could* up load GIFs maybe? Those would be animated, and takes a lot less work then animating all those animators.
I Think Axel Idea is great upload your own picture but it will be removed if Offensive or shows Nudity .
Because mods love to run around to check if people are using offensive gifs. I can imagine 420 would love that idea. Repeating what has been said every time that came up: It would ruin the special about the armatars as people could have whatever they like, and there would be no joy in unlocking new armatars. It would disrupt the unique way the armatars look. It would be a new job for mods to keep an eye on, and what would the punishment for using offensive material be. What would the definition of offensive be. Would probably take up space on a server where the staff is already removing things. And so on. Can't remember the rest, I be headachy.
On animated armatars: They would not lag, no, but they would interrupt the flow in the forums because of the movements, just like moving ads catches your eye.
Tbh, I think it would be pretty awesome But we shouldn't be able to upload our own, it takes up server space and some people will use offensive pictures.
