I hope everyone knows that jobs are not easy to find and there are a lot of people looking for jobs, so I wonder why so many American companies employ people from India. I am tired of every time when I call for tech support and even my bank, I get some Indian person half way across the world on the phone that I can barely understand. Why can't many of America's unemployed people get these jobs. Also it costs about the same for the companies because India wages are not that low and it takes a good amount of money to set up business in another country. How do you feel about this?
I think its important to remember that even as economically advanced as China is its no where near as Urbanized (as a whole), so working for less than min. wage is easily possible.
Also, When you 'hear an English person' for a large company, sometime chances are they are faking the accents. There are classes for that in outsourced telemarketing companies that provide things like tech support. I find it pretty ironic.
Anyway, As for what your saying, then I'm guessing you'd like a regulation on outsourcing jobs, especially numerous ones like these that can totally boom out a large # of employment (therefore adding to the overall effectiveness to the economy) even if they don't boom out much profit. Sad to say, America's become such a free nation the companies are easily able to eat out of freedom's jar -- and that includes throwing jobs out to the world.
Either America doesn't allow this sort of 'give the jobs to people that will work for less' motto (something incoming Hispanics do take advantage of, whether you make jokes about their mediocre jobs [as an average, not being racist here])
Or......It continues. Outsourcing rates have largely boomed in the past decade due to the massive expansion of Indian and Chinese markets.
