So the other day people from a church came to my door and gave me some booklet saying that the world is guaranteed to end with in 25 years. The booklet said that Jesus would come back, and the final war would start before the last of the Jewish generation that returned to the home land after WW2 died. Ok so that would make a baby back then 65 now. Add 25 years and that person would be 90, and that person probably would not live longer than that. The booklet claimed this is what it said in the Bible. I find this funny and the only reason why I listened to the five minute speech they gave is because the girl was good looking. So whats the deal with this claim.

Not this crap again, wasn't 2012 enough for these people? At least chances are that people will ignore it.

Breaking news! There is a new world ending theory! One that is SURE to be correct!

The world will end on or around the year 2,000,000,000! Better start buying those bibles!

Well, in my opinion sooner or later the Sun will scorch the Earth and the world will be ended.

Most popular is that on the year 2012 world will end.

I find it amazing that people got this from the Mayans. Thats not even what their calander says, it says basically that some event will happen that basically resets society. Not the end of the world.

Theories are created from interpretatins of works like the Bible or the Mayan Calender, the thing is, what were these people smoking when they came up with this crap? Most theories originate from contexts that have no connection to what the person is saying. A qusetion I have for the person that made this thread....did they make you buy the booklet? If so its just a money scam, people do it all the time. Also good christians do not usually go around advertising Jesus door to door, and especially not make false accusations and predictions. If all Christians did that, then nobody would have respect for them. These people were obviously nonreligious, wanted money, or actually did believe in what they were telling you. The world isn't anywhere near close to ending, so lets just all sit down, take a deep breath...and jug that Powerade!

Well, until the world DOES get attacked by the Sun in the year 2 billion, there will be claims about the world ending, so.... Add about.. 30 or so zeroes to that number and you'll be in the correct range
