I am getting oblivion for the pc, i had it once before in the xbox 360. It is a great game and all huge world and great graphics. I didnt know though that for the pc there were mods, thats why im getting it again. if anyone has this game or wants to know about it feel free to post on here, I might be able to help ya out, or get help myself ^^
Wow, have any of you actually read on the subject? They still don't even know who will be making Oblivion. Bethseda has taken over the Fallout series, but other companies are asking for control of TES. When 5 comes out, there's no telling how good it will be. My guess is that if it comes from Bethseda, it will be horrible. They had enough problems with Oblivion.
Anyway, Oblivion was a great game, and my pointer is: If you're ever stuck in a dungeon on PC, and want to get out fast without going all the way back through,(AND IT DOESN'T INTERFERE WITH THE STORY) hit "~", and type "coc testinghall", go into Raven's rock, or whatever the town is, through a door in the center, and maybe even pick up some items while in the testinghall. Also, if faced with a monster you want to kill without the hassle of fighting, hit "~" and type "kill", then hit enter. In addition, you can type unlock if you run out of lockpicks, and you need to open smething.
Use these cheats sparingly, as they can ruin the challenge. e.g. I killed Mehrunes Dagon with a cheat, before realising that I wasn't supposed to(I was n00b).

howcome? i thought they did a pretty decent job with oblivion, and fallout was great
i borrowed it for quite some time from a freind for the 360 and i loved it, but id have to buy it to finish it (that game is huge 60+hours and i wasnt even past lvl 15 yet) i also liked the fighting system, as you couldnt just hack and slash to win like on other game (you need to block or you get owned)

Bahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahhahahahaahhaahahahahaha hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahaah, sorry, I just got control of myself. You say the funniest things, really.
I might be able to help ya out, or get help myself ^^
If you need help I am here.
oblivion is the only good game in that series
Nearly every TES fan - that's played all the TES games - will agree that Morrowind was better than Oblivion. Oblivion was like Bethesda's little test to see if they could make graphics basically unseen in 2006 and if they could run a full, working physics system in a universe.
hit "~"
On my computer you always hit ` to bring up the command console.
More helpful cheats (I remember these off by heart . . . I am a nerd): 'qqq' - instantly quits the game, 'layer.additem 0000000F #' replace # with a number and it will give you that much gold, 'GetPos/SetPos X/Y/Z' gets your location, or moves you to a certain location, 'tgm' God mode, 'caqs' completes all the stages in the active quest, as far as I know.

Oblivion was decent, and Fallout 3 - wow - Bethesda really did a great job with it.

I played Oblivion for hundreds of hours, I blocked, at maximum about 100 times. It really is not necessary.

Aaand, Daggerfall was 20x better than Morrowind!

HAHAHA yur funnie! Same button if you look :P
That's the great thing about Bethesda games-- they have mod editors. You'll be able to stack many different mods together to make the game so much better than it was by itself. If another company took over TES, I will cry. Yes, they already screwed up with Oblivion, but I will cry. If the new company makes another Daggerfall, I will jump up in down in squee, plus all the newbs to TES would be like "COOL, YOU CAN USE THE MOUSE TO SWING YOUR SWORD!"
I swear to god i downloaded it and this game is just god of every single game i have played guys. I added so many mods! friggen dragon you can ride! big elephants! castles, new lands, armors, weapons!!!!!! cheeezuz this game is so awsome! :P I
Ps: i added the halo project, it was a quite interesting quest.
Psps: If anyone would like to recommend me a MUST HAVE mod then post me up a link, i might post some too! :P <33
Not it's not . . . :| The tilde is on the same button as the hash, the ` key is on the button with the pipe and negation. Maybe my keyboard is different. Do you click near the shift key to get a quotation mark? If so you're on American setup.

I don't download every mod I find, just to save space on my hard drive. I mostly download texture and graphics updates, just to make the game look nicer.

No . . . PC is awesome.

Tesnexus is probably the most famous website for Oblivion mods. You've probably seen it before. If you want any good mods - and your computer is up to scratch - look up the Unique Landscape mods, the Illumination Within mod, and the Book Jackets mod.
If you want armour, the armour I use is Caine Armo(u)r. If you do get it download 0.5 not 1.0.
haha omfg I took up 28 gigs of hard drive space from my local disc c from oblivion mods.. i had to delet them all haha. I got my mods from tesnexus great website and great modders, i think the armors and stuff they have there are better than the damn game creaters themselves...to be honest.
i think the armors and stuff they have there are better than the **** game creaters themselves
Like someone said previously, Bethesda basically gave the game out - as a decent game - and almost watched if people really could do great stuff with the modification building software. They did.

This is why you should not download too many. Why not get an external hard-drive? You can get a terabyte of storage for £90 (sorry if you're American).
I have a 500gig external hard drive but I didnt know i can store my files in there and still be able to play them while they arnt in my pc ._. I just deleted my damn oblivion wtf lol
