I always thought screamo was more like Asking Alexandria and Bring me the Horizon. Well, bands like that I consider screamo cause it's more emo metal than anything else. I don't like a lot of it because banging on drums and the guitar as hard as you can really has no melody. I like more melodic metal like A7X, Disturbed, Amon Amarth, LOG, that stuff.
I thought any bands that screams in almost each of their songs qualifies them, but whatever...
That is nowhere near what screamo is. Screamo is emo with screaming. before you say "ew emo!!1", look it up on wikipedia so you know what it actually is.
Anyway, the only screamo band I've really taken to was I Would Set Myself on Fire for You, and they're an experimental screamo band. So yeah, go figure I guess.
no. screamo is more along the lines of melodic guitar rifts, synthesizer, and higher screams.

metalcore has more straight chord rifts and lower guitars. bands like: emmure as i lay dying august burns red a day to remember (sometimes) death before dishonor
Dismember, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Into Eternity is good, ive only hear a lil bit form Cannibal Corpse but it was ok, Born Of Osiris, Nile all good bands i cant pick a 'best' one
Bring me the Horizon is Metalcore... not Deathcore... i'm not a big fan of screamo... i'm more into metalcore and deathcore... but my favorite screamo band is probably showbread
