Well I loved the Percy Jackson books and I wanted to know if anyone else is excited about the movie?

A good thing about it is, the guy who made Harry Potter 1 and 2 a movie is the director, and he stuck to the Harry Potter books. So he should do the same with the Lightning Thief.

Empire is a theater chain (like cineplex)

How they would know about such things though, is a mystery to me.

I loved the books, they are my favorite series of all time, but I have a feeling the movies gonna suck(idk why)

Well, movies always suck more than the books because they take a giant chunk out of the details and only stick to the main story. There are about 3 people in one class that read these books, and they coincidentally sit next to each other. These books must be great....

No Empire is a movie magazine, anyway the director said that in an interview. I mean if the director said it its going to be true.

The thing that really makes me mad about the movie is that the chick who plays Annabeth is supposed to be blonde. And they are also supposed to be a little younger because that is vital to the story. They all like 16 and 17 in the movie. But other than that I am super excited about the movie. I love Logan Lerman as Percy. Perfect casting on that at least.

Seems a bit stupid to me. A guy who is the son of a God but is 17 and is living in the 21st century. You would think he would have been born in like the 12th century or so when they were actually believed in. lol

depends is the face still the same, if its not then you're either high or at the wrong wedding lol, anyway from what I have seen of the movie so far (trailers) it seems amazing.

@chey2026: actresses and characters never quite end up same because its just too dificult looking for an actress that fits character specs.

@alpha: 17th century was the 1600's....the greek gods were a part of religion during the BC's hence the term before christ? But I digress if it was the time period appropriate to the beliefs, it would have made no sense because being a demi god would have been an honor not a source of the ever loved teenage angst.
