Scott Brown of Massachusetts? Did he get very recently elected or something? This ain't the month for elections, so did he win in November?

And for the question, I don't really know who he is right now, so it depends on what his plans are.

Let's see... he's pro gun in Massachusetts, so that's worth at least a few points. He gets a point on abortion by saying that it's the woman's choice. He loses a point on the death penalty (he's for it) and loses a couple points by being overly heteronormative on marriage issues.

My opinion? He still has positive points, so that's good. I'd have to see the guy he ran against to decide which one was better.

I wonder if any of the issues I mentioned will cause off topic arguments. We'll see.

Hilarious statement is hilarious.

Lol, why take away points for death penalty? Not even the lethal injection? Or...the lethal INGESTION? Teaspoon of caffeine will do the trick for them.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak outâ"because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak outâ"because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak outâ"because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for meâ"and there was no one left to speak out.

I'm serious.

Brown
Mays

I first heard Scott Brown talk over the radio while I was working, and was paying only a little attention. And went "Lol, wut? Billy Mays?"

Oh. My. God. That- that's amazing.

Lol, why take away points for death penalty?
Because I'm against the death penalty and he's for it.

Republican victory in Mass means that 30 million Americans will continue to suffer without insurance. I work minimum wage, and spend $600 a month on prescriptions. Republicans could care less that I can't get insurance because of pre-existing conditions. They care about profit. This proves to me how selfish and individualistic the US is. How much longer do I have to suffer?

Considering that I am upgrading my theory to "He is Billy Mays"...for a while.

He wants your money. And for you to get all your white whiter, and brights brighter.

As long as insurance companies and financial institutions are able to make money off the privatised system that exists in America. I find it amazing how successful these companies have been in supressing the opinions of the millions of Americans who want and deserve free healthcare.

Scott Brown said that he believed all Americans deserve health care coverage. He went on to say that he was disproving of the health care bill in congress right now, but, if I remember correctly, you said you didn't see the bill helping your situation. So what's the problem?

That the Democrats lose their supermajority. However, if he is pro healthcare as you say then no it shouldn't be a problem, provided he votes against party lines.

He is against the Health Care bill which is why he got elected. To quote from the movie previously posted:

People do not want the trillion dollar health care plan that is being forced on the American people and this bill is not being debated openly and fairly. It will raise taxes, it will hurt medicare, it will destroy jobs, and run or nation deeper into debt. It is not in the interest of our state and our country and we can do better.

This election made my week. 85% of Americans have health care. Simply expand Medicare and Medicaid and leave the Socialism to the Europeans and Canucks. If our taxes were as high as say... France's there would be nationwide riots.
