I was learning about animal testing in ICT, we watched some videos and saw some pictures. I thought it was sick and horrible but do you people at AG think its right or wrong?

Right or wrong? Not really sure, depends on how you view the world. Since there isn't much to discuss in OP's post -- besides how its right or wrong.
I'll just make a quick list of my values to answer the question.
1. Humans
2. Animalz

Whether its right or wrong, we need to survive and if someone's working on treating Cancer by giving it to Rats -- It might be necessary for the better existence of the human race.

I kinda agree with Armed_blade, it might be right or wrong, but in some instances it needs to be done.

i think its wrong. so a few humans die of cancer, its not like the human race is in danger or anything. why do we even need cures for all these things. now you might be saying, "its not a few people who die its millions" well there are billions of people. a few million a year is O.K. SAVE THE ANIMALS

It's wrong to test things such as cosmetics or perfumes on animals because that isn't integral to the survival or betterment of society, but testing drugs, potential cures for currently incurable diseases such as cancer, AIDS (we are getting better), etc. finding safe cures would greatly further society and that is different.

Because it's the internet, sarcasm isn't able to be transmitted, but please tell me your joking. I think you are, just want to make sure because, if not, wow... Like I said, I do believe you are but just wanted to check.

i sort of was joking saying "oh its just a few million" but really if a few humans die it won't endanger the human race

If a few die it won't, but if there's a disease that we can't control and it's not genetic, that would be a serious threat to the human species. Genetic diseases aren't a threat because natural selection will eventually remove the disease or select individuals immune to it, but as far as I know there's no "immunity" from cancer, let alone something genetic. That could be a serious threat then.

well if we find a cure for everything then there will be a bad case of overpopulation(witch is already starting) and that will cause global warming. everyting needs to day at some point or the balance will be off

This is just wrong and bad. There is no reason for people to be doing this.

I agree with both sides... it is wrong and good... I don't see the point in finding cures for cancer... or even aids. People and animals NEED to die to ensure the balance of nature. Wait... no a LOT of people and animals need to die... nature is being destroyed by the minute.

And it is MOSTLY because of research... research leads to expansion.. expansion leads to the destruction of nature... and destruction on nature = bye bye earth.

People need to relise, the testing saves human life whitch is more valuable do to bieng longer, more productive, and the fact that they have advanced thought. People seem to think that if somthing is cute and fuzzy, then its wrong to heart it, and have immages of the worst conditions and the "cutest" animals...

Are you kidding me? A cure for everything? There is so much BS out in the world we'll never cure it, and if we do -- I'm sure there will be something like -- Idk -- Starvation? Chronic Illness? There's always something to kill people.
People Do NOT mean Global Warming, We're adding C02 anyway. Russia produces more C02 than India, yet India is nearly 9 times the population.
