This, like the famous Zombie survival club, of which I am a member of, and proud to be, is about survival. However.
Thos focuses more on humans. Not Zombies. You have to see how you will filter water, get supplies, find shelter or what not, do what you can, and also see how you can defend yourself.
The rules are like the Zombie survival club. -I will give you a scenario, and you must devise a LEGIT plan to survive, and not just go, Hey yall I'd like to join your club or do some other stupid thing like that. - No flaming other people, but crticism is a good thing. We want you to expand your mind, and this may actualyl pepare you for something. Because there has been disasters, such as in Haiti, but also after some great war or during a war, like in Japan after the fall of the Imperial powers in world war 2, you will have to know how to fight off looters, get supplies, and it may actually help you. Not saying the zombie Survival club won't help you, but we haven't seen anything close to a zombie besides Human Rabies.
-Once you are a member, and there has been at least 4 responses that include a decent plan to the scenario (at least 4, can have more) Then feel free to start a new scenario. This is something I wantedi n the Zombie survival club, as im tired of people's scenario's,. who had pretty good ones, being tramped over by a bunch of noob spammer's or someone who just plopped their scenario over it. So this is how Im dealing with it.
-Also, if you spam, flame, or jsut be a total troll to someone, I will personally boot you out of the club, get a moderator, and make your eyeballs be used to be put into tourists drinks. So if you honestly like to do any of those things, I have no patiance with you.
-Criticism, as long as its constructive, helpful, is welcome. We don't want "your plan sucks ballsack" We want "You need to revise this, or basically your plan sucks ballsack."
Now, if there is ANY qeustions, refer to me about things, and I will hopefulyl answer them. I go offline and online in static periods, as I am busy often, and I try to spare my time for this.
SO HERE IS THE FIRST SCENARIO!!!!! There is a large Earthqauke, and afterwards, a neighbouring country attacks you. You are in a small city in eastern europe. Here is the map of it.
most of the buildings along St.Mesto and Nove Mesto are collasped or collasping. And there is looters coming in from Wilsonova. The looters are on Motor Bikes, and armed with pipes, pistols, and chains.
The Invading army, is armed with AN 94's, has basic frag grenades on them, and all their weapons have laser pointers. They also have 4 large tanks, T-90's, and 600 troops They are splti up into two groups, one group attacking from the Vltava river and the rest attacking from the North East corner. You, are located on the map in the Ressolva stret, bottom of map. Your house has collasped, but you have no family members in this city. You managed to grab a broken stop sign , and it is about a metere long with a hexagonal stop sign at the end. You are in jeans and a t shirt with a trench coat, no hat.
Now then. You have no food, water, and your covered in dust. So what do you do?
Yeah, ask comradewolf, he is in charge of the club after all. Behind enemy lines is loosely based off the story of USAF Captain Scott O'Grady who was shot down in an F-16 over Bosnia on June 2, 1995. He survived behind enemy lines before rescue for six days though he never made contact with civilians and was not directly pursued by Serb forces, not that a meeting would have been that pleasant of an occurance for him.
Ill make up a new one, but I'll answer yours first.
In the tree line, I would probably put mud onto my face, considering a rainstorm had hit as you said, and cover my face with little blemshies, as well as my clothes. That way Im a little bit more hidden. Then I would probably crouch run, going from tree to tree, making a well paced run through the tree's, darting from one tree to the next. Knowing my directions by the sun, I would use that as my pinpoint, and then Keep heading the same direction. Then, I would probably, exhausted, reach the river. I would drink from it, rest for about 6 minutes, catching my breathe, then try to get through the river, wallowing through the shallow of it. Then, I would probably be very cold, But using my adrenaline rush I would get from this chase probably, I would get the hell away from the water, and Then keep running from tree to tree. I would then find myself on the hill to the extraction, a little ways away. I would probably have little time, but I would then see if I could go the opposite way, circumnavigating, then crawl up the hill slowly on the other side. I would do this slowly on the muddy, and grassy hill, and Then wait for the chopper, preferrably behind a rock. The tree technique I used, is a way to distort sniper's, sincei m going behind objects, which makes it harder for a proffessional to Shoot me, sinceh can't track me, and let alone a european villager who jsut picken up a rifle, with just a bit of combat experience. That way, I would be safe.
NOW HERE is the new Scenario.
You are sleeping in your bed, in a apartment building, and then you wake up. You smell something burning, and then you wake up fully, and go outside. The whole hallways is covered in smoke, and you hear people being burned alive. You are in a 6 storey aprtment building, you on the fifth floor. The Elevator is down, and the whole lfoors of the 3rd level and the stairs going up to the fourth and second are on fire. What do you do to escape?
Alright, for the fire scenario, let me ask the obvious, is there a fire escape? If there is, I just use that, simple.
Now, if there isn't, well, I'll make this up as I go along I guess. First thing that would come to my mind would be to get everything I'm wearing wet so go to the bathroom and turn on the shower. Hopefully that would work and I would then be wet, I guess that goes without saying. Then I would get a cloth or something similar and wet it to use as a makeshift mask. I know it isn't perfect, but somethings better than nothing. Also, if I had a thick winter coat or something like that I'd put it on and wet it too to help protect me from the flames if need be and if time permitted.
With that, I'd go for the stairs and just run like hell, only thing I could do. While throwing a matress out the window seems appealing, I know that would end with broken bones and the way I am currently dressed I might be able to withstand very limited exposure in a mad rush out. The jacket would protect me from some flames and I could discard it as soon as I exited the building and the wetted cloth should protect me from some of the smoke. But, hopefully, the fire escape would be in working order and I could just simply use that.
The fire escape would not be working in this, as your on fourth floor, and You can't get out, since the stairs are on fire.
I like how yout said to dampen your clothes. One way someone could get out, is by climbing down the windows. Not jumping, but rather climbing down window by window, and using my boots to kick in the glass, to make myself stand on the ledge, and when I got to 2nd story, I would probabyl jump. Your way was a biot risky, but you have a ok chance of surviving. One thing you could've doen as well, was crouch. Do not crawl, as fumes will enter your body if your crawling on the floor, and if you stand the smoke will get you. So crouching would be the best wya to get out.
I would jump in the shower fully dressed, wetten a cloth for a mask, get my mattress (hopefully foam), get a thick coat, and one like hell down the stairs with the mattress and cloth protecting me from smoke and the mattress getting the full blast of the fire.
Alright, this does need a new scenario, so here's something.
You're a Texas State Trooper (wonder where I got that idea) out on patrol out in the country in West Texas, in other words nothing but desert for miles. It's about 2 in the morning and for the last hour or so absolutly nothing has happened and you've spent your time looking up at the stars wondering if there's anything up there. Suddenly, a vehicle shoots by you and you flip on your lights. As soon as you get behind the vehicle the driver starts to slow and pulls of the road to a stop. Stopping your vehicle maybe fifty yards behind their vehicle you call it in, a large black SUV with heavily tinted windows, so tinted in fact you can't see anything inside.
Now, you know violence has been picking up due to Mexican drug cartels and you're only a little over a hundred fifty miles from the border. The closest town is at least forty miles away and they might have a Sheriff deputy on call, you don't know. There have, besides from increasing violence from Mexican cartels been several people going missing around this area lately and bodies have been turning up with 9mm holes in their forehead. But, on the other hand, this could just be some kids on a Spring Break roadtrip.
Taking a deep breath, you step out of your vehicle and start towards the stopped vehicle. You are equiped with a 9mm handgun with a 15 round magazine and two more in a belt container. You have a tazer, pepper spray, two sets of handcuffs, a pen, a notepad and a radio on your person and a twelve gauge pump action shotgun in your vehicle. You also have a flashlight in your hand but you can't remember when you last put batteries in. What do you do?
FINALLY BACK. Its fishign season here, and I've been o nthe trawler for at least 2 months. Still on it, writing on a laptop. Now then. First things first, as a officer, I would probably click on the radio so I can contact people at any time. I'll politely, knock on the door, and even if it is the drug cartels men, they shouldn't shoot me if im a threat, otherwise thats just plain stupid of them. I will politely ask them to get out of the car in english, and spanish, and have your hands out where I can see them.
I won't be too hasty, and I will ask them in English, then in Spanish, of who they are, And also ask them to check the trunk, with one hand on my holster. I will check the trunk, inspecting the vehicle, and if nothing is wrong, well I let them go. If they do have something, all I will do is pretend they had nothing, just say "your free to leave, have a nice drive" or whatever. Its thin ice treading with a cartels men. And IF they do have drugs on them, or other illegal stuff, Once they have driven away, I will contact Head qaurters with the radio, making sure that they are absolutely not even in visibile range, and state my location, and tell them to intercept.
If they ask why I didnt take action, I will exclaim that they outnumbered me in firearms, and so on, of which they probably did. Thats my response.
You'd probably never hear the end of it if you let them drive away with illegal items in the car, but let's analyze your plan.
You calmly go up to the door and get them out as easily and calmly as possible, keeping their hands visible at all times. Right around here is when you'll be able to figure out if their cartel or not based on their reactions and how they hold themselves. If they are kids on spring break give them a ticket for speeding if you so desire and get them on their way. No need to waste good patrol time at peak hours for illegal trafficing on kids unless their drunk or something and then you have to bring them in and get started on the glorious paperwork.
If you think their cartel ask if you can just pat them down. They can refuse, though if they do you should be suspicious. Also, if they refuse you should pay attention to how they refuse, tone of voice and choise or words and how they were acting before hand. Again, by this time you should have had enough time to get a good enough read off of them to figure out if their cartel or just some guys that don't want to be patted down. If you're fairly sure their not a threat and just people who want to exercise their rights, leave the issue alone. If you think their cartel, cuff them and patt them down.
ComradeWolf, I like yours for the majority, keep them in sight at all times and look the vehicle over while being polite. Being polite could save your life as if you push them around or throw around too much authority they might decide to fight. If I was you and I thought they were cartel I'd act like it was just another simple traffic stop and make a few comments that would calm them down, take their licenses back to my car and call for backup. Then I'd unlock the AR-15 and start running their licenses taking a long enough time for someone to get out there.
Now, let's continue this. You step out of your car and go over to theirs. You ask for the driver's license and the front passenger and two backseat passengers seem very nervous. You return to your car, call for some backup and start running their plates and all but you have a feeling they could be ready to make a move. A few minutes pass and all is well but when you look down and then up from your computer you notice three men standing there with something in their hands. What do you do?
And pk2015, this forum was abandoned but if people want in again let's just see what happens.
