Luck, Fate, Destiny

All three of these things are fabled yet when used in a certain context are used to describe monumental parts of our lives. For example, when used in the context of life "fate" implies what is to happen to someone, while "destiny" affects will the person must do and what will become of them, and "luck" seems to affect our lives all of the time.

Although they could all technically exist, what do you think about these three concepts of life?

Nobody's biting :< Where's moegrechen when we need him?

Luck, Fate, Destiny

I'd subsume all three concepts under the heading &quothenomenal concepts". This may sound a bit weird until I mention I mean &quothenomenon" in the Kantian sense i.e. a thing as it appears to and is constructed by the mind. Which I guess makes it sound even more weird... which is why I'm asking where Moe is, because he's the resident specialist on Kantian philosophy.

Basically, I'm saying all three are in your head, and so I don't think about them in any other way than sentimentally.

exist

The technical mumbo-jumbo I wrote also implicitly explains why I take special note of the use of this word!

NO, Don't even SPEAK about Moegreche and this 'erspectives of life' stuff. XD Him and Shin and his thread went at it on and on and on! No one left that thread unscathed.

These three things...I have so much brewing in my mind about what to post, that it would end up being at least 7 paragraphs on here, but I can't really conceive typing it here.

Forgot to add one: Karma. These now FOUR things are, in my opinion, all in the believers' minds, how they really interpret perspectives on life. If they don't believe in a specific religion, they may turn to these phenomenon to really 'define' how something happened. It can be something small, how you won $400 out of the lottery (lucky thunderhumper...), to something infinitesimal as how the universe was conceived. Luck, fate, destiny. Terra came to life, that was just lucky. It was fate that Terra was going to sustain life. Terra was bound to conceive life one way or another. It's all how you yourself want to look at it.

I would agree. The interesting thing is is how much of a mental impact they can have on someone. They have the power to shape lives.

Excelent! A most excelent topic for discussion. Fate, destiny, luck, karma...ah where do I begin? I would like to argue that fate is a non existent part of our lives unless we believe in fate. However destiny is something we may forge. Luck is just a matter of how we look at life, which I will say the same for karma.

Now. These concepts are all ground into reality. Which is to say perception. All reality is, is what we wish it to be, and therefore these concepts flow from what we perceive. Not as in depth as I wanted, but let's start there.
