I was diappointed by the set, to say the least, as I could predict what songs they were going to play, and when. But then again, maybe when you know The Who as well as I do, it's hard NOT to predict things like that. I think the most disappointing part of the whole thing was the fact that Roger Daltrey can't do that mega-AWESOME howl from "Won't Get Fooled Again", but then again, I guess almost 40 years of playing that song can do that to a guy.

I think it's definitely time for them to pack in the band name, just pursue solo careers guys, I mean Zak Starkey is a good drummer, but he's no Moonie. At least Pete still knows how to put on a show.

a little disappointing he didn't smash his guitar or anything for that matter. However he made up for it with his signature windmill.

Felt dissapointed. The Who got the gig only because CBS was promoting the shit out of their station. They really didn't do that great and they should have gotten somebody better.

I watched the game with my niece and nephew (16 and 15 respectively) and both of them had no clue who The Who were... I thought it rather ironic that they were the halftime band, since a lot of people seem to really be asking themselves that. I didn't end up watching it (they dragged me downstairs to play MW2 ^.^) but I find it surprising that a more temporal band wasn't chosen to do the halftime show.

Look at the last couple of super bowl half time shows since janet jacksons little mishap: Paul Mcartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty. It seems to me like they are continuing to pick bands that appeal to an older audience rather than get a more modern band to play the halftime show.

nobody at my middle school knew the Who. conversations went like this:

"whos that?"
"the who"
"im asking who"
"the Who"
"dude are you deaf"
"Its the Who!"
"the band"
"YES MOTHERF*CKER!"

Except for something in Japan a few years back I don't think Pete has done any "auto-destruction" in years if not decades.

a load of Shepherds Bush geezers love abit of Hand Egg

He seemed alot more pumped up than he has for a while. It's good to see he can step up when he needs to (he sure didn't when I saw them not that i'm bitter XD )

Pete seemed to me to struggle with the singing. His voice is close to shot (although that is expected), and when he tried to sing it seemed like he just yelled it out at random times.

Sadly many people or kids on this site.
Most of them don't even know ninties bands, and they're only from 10-20 years ago.

Let's just say, anyone who doesn't know The Who, should get googling very fast and listen to their songs!
It's one of the greatest bands in the history of Rock Music! =D

Like most people don't even know, they might have heard one of their songs pass by when they watch those Crime Scene Investigation episodes! They used up to three (!) songs by The Who for the intro theme music and that's something worth bowing for... *bows with dignity*

This band should (if it already isn't) be in the rosk and roll hall of fame.

There "Who Are You" song is the theme for CSI for those of you who did not know.

For men around 60 years old, they sounded pretty good.

Every 60-year-old man except for old Pete. He's mostly deaf at this point.
