You can make a thread about anime if you want, but not a club. The only difference between an anime club and an anime thread is one has a bunch of people talking about anime, the other has people talking about signing up.

If you want to start an anime club, you can make that anime thread, get to know other people who enjoy anime, and add them to AIM or MSN. If you have a circle of friends, you can start a sort of club that exists off the site.
