If yo had to choose, food for everyone in the world or No more war which would you choose?

I would say No more war, because if there no wars, we could use the money intended for the war to feed the poor/sick/whoever needs food

Food seems mean for me to say but the population is growing a lil bit too much

Food.
It is the building block of civilization.
Cancelling wars means nothing. I would embargo the nation I wouldn't like, cut off their river supply, etc. There are lots of ways to kill people, cutting off war means nothing.
With food, though, we wouldn't have to fight over water and nutrition. No real disputes over land, all you need is a house. Things would cost less, and even if your the poorest loser out there at least your stomach's filled.

I didn't read anything about food and water. All the excess food would severely deplete the water supply.

I would say food, only because I think more are effected by starvation & malnutrition than war.

Ober, money cannot buy that which does not exist...

Such food would not be sustainable. Think realistically.

Ya I know it probably wouldn't be enough but still w could use some of it. Also, did you know that a Javalin missle costs 80,000 per missle

War brougt technological improvement for everyday life for us.
Even if we are not soldier, can you live without nylon? Or kevlar?
Yes but youìre living better now; and I don't even want to talk about medical science.
So, food for all.

Okay, so how is this "no war" thing going to work? What if some random country wants to go to war? Who's going to stop them? The only way to permenantly remove war would be to remove the desire to go to war. But this would be infringing upon my freedom of choice. Therefore, I choose food for everyone.

Just an ironic tidbit. We HAVE enough food to feed everyone on Earth. We just don't share.

If we did share it would just make the current situation worse. Population is exponential while food production is linear.

No war reminds me of the Kellogg-Briand pact.

your freedom of choice, similar to any other freedom stops there where the freedom of any other person stops.
our freedoms are being infringed every second of every day.

secondly this is a hypothetical discussion so lets assume we can remove wars. its unimportant how.

so even if there wouldnt be enough food on earth right now to feed everyone(but as stated above there is), i would prefer no wars, because that would give mankind the opportunity to work and concentrate all the effort on making the world a better place(which includes food for everyone) and not focusing on building and developing new weapons.

Yeah, I can definitely live without nuclear poisoning or bullets through my body.

Doesn't it occur to you with the so much resources allocated to war research, if we instead allocated for science, we could accomplish 50x more?

Food.
Although horrible, wars can sometimes be necessary. They are also unavoidable in many cases.

We HAVE enough food to feed everyone on Earth. We just don't share.

This is true. Many developed countries (especially America) consume enough excess food to feed much of the starving.

Many people could also "eat down on the food pyramid," eating more vegetables than meat, as things lower on the pyramid contain more 'energy.'
