For all the StarCraft fans here it's a reminder if you knew. The other think that I found out after listening to Blizzard's conference call announcing the beta it says that the "mac" users will get the beta after the featured release of the beta. So it will come out either the end of this month or the beginning of next. It's finally here!!!
For months, Starcraft fans have patiently waited for the beginning of the beta. IN spite of Blizzard intending to start the beta testing process for avery long time, it's start has experienced continuous delays ever after Blizzard had a firm time window for it. Over time, fans have gown increasingly weary and tired of the "final stretch", but nevertheless maintained hope.
Now their hopes have finally been fulfilled. During the Activision Blizzard Investor Conference Call on February 10th, which was streamed over the Internet, Blizzard co-founder and president Mike Morhaime announced that the StarCraft II beta testing process would begin later this month. He also said that the StarCraft II is aimed to be released mid-2010 and that the StarCraft II beta will also serve as a platform for testign the new battle.net
Just as a reminder, the beta will first start in the North America region along with Australia and New Zealand first. This will follow by Asia and then Europe. It is currently known if the North America phase also includes countries in South and Central America.
the main game doesn't have an exact release date yet. They need to see how battle.net does and than they will release the game. The game is done,but the testing for battle.net isn't over yet. The closed beta will be closed not open to the public. Don't get a torrent because the battle.net has tight security. You don't want to get banned from battle.net forever!
not to double post. I got more info about when the StarCraft 2 beta will come out for the mac. This is the email i received today....

The Starcraft 2 Beta for the Mac is slated for end of this month or more than likely the end of next month, but it's hard to tell the actual time frame, but it is coming.

Well the game is beautiful and flat out gorgeous. Ultra graphics(you can do this on the beta) looks amazing! I can't wait for the game to come out!!!!!
