To all Armor games staff, the popular games section on the home page, though it does show some of the best games on the site, isn't up to date. Ive gone through the site, and found some games that might make the list:

Bubble Tanks 2 (not Tower Defense) - 7,016,200 plays, 9.2/10 5. Age of War - 6,282,786 plays, 9.4/10 6. Warlords - 5,147,718 plays, 9.1/10 7. Colony - 4,287,784 plays, 8.9/10 8. Demolition City 2 - 3,406,295 plays, 8.6/10
Please update soon, so casual players can find great games more easily.

The staff that updates the page picks the games that are the most popular of its time, so when there is a new game out that has a lot of hype, has lots of plays for the short time its been here, and has a high rating, they will consider replacing a game on the popular games wall.
Even so, those games should be put, if not on the popular games wall, but on top played game lists, like on Addictinggames, Maxgames, and Miniclip, to name a few.
We don't have that, but you can list the games by plays, rating, and the time they were posted though. There is also the popular genre wall. Click on *insert genre here* and you will find a list of popular games of that genre. Bet you the games you listed are on there.
Ah, so THAT replaced "This is the Only Level". Kinda tough trying to find out what games should go there in the first place. Maybe they should make more room for a second column? This is just so that there would be enough room for one or two of every genre to have its moment.
Which means... Another word for opinion. In other words the admins and web designers choose the games.
3/4 of those games has been on the popular games list in the past.
I think they have all been, but I haven't seen Demolition City (Must be really old).
Age of War..I don't quite remember.
It was there, I remember. Quite popular, until it was taken down.

While those games that you chose are indeed popular, they are also older, which is why they have a large number of plays.
This seems most likely, as it also makes sense.
I just saw that Balloon in a wasteland is on the popular games now.
Funny, I think I'll have to play it. Looks sort of like SHIFT 1/2/3 (Those were on the popular games too, and fun for older kids. Might confuse the young though.)

Yes, Colony was replaced by GemCraft a while ago, but rather quickly if you asked me...
The games on the list are actually a ranking (or list if prefered) of games that are pretty new or heavily played by users of AG. So games tat have a lot of game plays but are older get replaced sooner or later...
Maybe the idea of having a longer list isn't such a bad idea after all! Then the new users can have a wider view of the popular games on AG!
