I actually prefer Mustane's vocals to Hetfield's. But the songs are a bit bizarre from Megadeth. What's really bizarre is that now David Mustane claims to be a born again Christian, but still tours with Megadeth.. There's something really screwed up about that.
I guess between the two, I'll pick Megadeth since I like the songs I like by them more than I like the songs I like by the original millionaire crybaby musicians.

Crybaby? Why? Because of the whole Napster thing? If i were Lars or James i would've done the same and i'm glad they did. That said, i have to say i like Metallica more. Mostly because of the riffs, the vocals and the lyrics.
its hard for what youre looking for in a 80's metal band.
They have more unique sounds and better lyrics than Mega....

however though metallica was more talented musically. lars is one of THE greatest drummers of all time. and nowadays they have the old bassists from the suicidal tendencies and there one of my favorite bands.

You just like Megadeth's lyrics better because you don't actually have to think to understand them. Perhapps you should go listen to "Mechanix".

He DID NOT write most riffs on ride and master. He did HELP write most kill'em all riffs, but on ride he only gets credit for "Ride the Lightning" and "The Call of Ktulu". And on M.O.P he only wrote a tiny riff for "Lepper Messiah", wich i'm not even sure he did. So if you're saying Metallica's riffs were only good because of Mustaine, you're wrong.
